New Stone Hotpot Place In Singapore With Ice Cream Claw Machine Will Transport You To Taiwan
While we are on our quest to locate more places on our sunny island that will make us feel like we are travelling the world, we came across Feima Stone Hotpot (肥妈石头火锅), a new hotpot place that will transport you to Taiwan.
Read on to find out more!
Located at Crawford Lane, Feima Stone Hotpot is an authentic Taiwanese stone hotpot restaurant and the very first of its kind in Singapore.
The door to the restaurant is designed to look like a vending machine and its interior is decked out in wallpaper depicting the famous Raohe Night Market in Taipei.
What sets Feima Stone Hotpot apart from all the other hotpot restaurants is its unique cooking method. Some ingredients will first be stir fried in the pot with fragrant sesame oil to enhance the flavour of the broth which will be poured in afterwards.
This gives you a pot of flavourful and hearty soup to cook your other hotpot ingredients in.
Some of their ingredients, condiments and drinks are imported from Taiwan to make the experience as authentic as possible.
Choose from a personal hotpot at $9.90, $12.90 or $15.90, a medium hotpot great for two to four pax at $18.90 which comes with one portion of meat, or a large hotpot for up to 5 pax at $21.90 also with one portion of meat.
Select add-ons such as meat like pork belly, beef slices and chicken thigh slices, and seafood like scallops, dory fish slices, mussels and even crayfish. They have a wide variety of vegetables and hotpot staples like cheese tofu, squid balls, quail eggs and many more.
Prices for these ala carte items are based on the coloured plates they come in: $3 (white), $5 (orange/red), $7 (yellow/green) and $9 (black).
They also serve premium meat such as wagyu beef, iberico pork and seafood platter. Prices range from $18 to $28.
Check out these adorable Doraemon fish cakes! Make sure you order them when you are there.
The experience will not be complete without trying their Braised Pork Rice which they are selling at only $2.50!
Wash everything down with drinks commonly found in Taiwan like Taiwan Beer, Apple Soda, Mai Xiang Black Tea and more, to complete the experience. Prices range from $1.50 to $8.
Try your hand at the ice cream claw machine before you go! Customers get two tokens to play with a minimum spending of $50 or four tokens with a minimum spending of $100. It's $3 to play for non-customers.
It's also apparently a guaranteed catch, according to Feima Stone Hotpot.
