Similar to Capitol Singapore’s previous dome dining experience, this one’s happening in the same place, at the front lawn of artificial grass.

Shedding their Christmassy garlands, the domes now come with Chinese New Year-themed festive decor including cherry blossoms, pussy willows, lucky ornaments, and golden ingots. The plush sofas are even piled with lucky cat and mahjong cushions!

In between the domes are life-sized sakura trees - artificial, of course, but they make for a romantic backdrop nonetheless! They're especially enchanting when the fairy lights they're draped with are lit up at night.

Funnily enough, the Christmas tree has been stripped of its shiny baubles and transformed into...a pointy sakura bush? ?

Tip: Take a close-up shot if you don’t want to give away the fact that you’re posing in front of a repurposed Christmas tree. If you’re wearing an outfit with special details behind, try taking a back-view shot like the one below!

You get to occupy your dome for 2 hours and it’s completely free to use, but as usual, there’s a catch: You’ll have to purchase a yu sheng set from one of the participating outlets at Capitol.

These include a Salmon Yusheng Platter ($94.19) from The Capitol Kempinski Hotel, Yusheng with Crab ($72.79) from HolyCrab!, and Prosperity Yusheng with Salmon ($94.14) from Famous Treasure.

Supposing you pick the cheapest option at $72.79 and divide that by a group of 5 - the recommended maximum number of people for comfortable seating - that’s less than $14.60 per person. That’s still reasonable, considering you’re getting premium seafood options with one-of-a-kind photo opportunities.

Some of these even come with cute cow-themed arrangements to celebrate the year of the ox!

Of course, you are also free to purchase any additional takeaway items from other F&B vendors at Capitol including Flor Patisserie, and munch on them in the domes.

It is recommended to make a prior booking on Klook so you won’t miss out, but don’t worry if spaces are full, because you can try your luck at doing a walk-in. We did a successful walk-in for the previous edition and didn’t wait too long, so there’s hope yet!
