Here are some new restaurants, cafes and menus to check out:

#1 Baker & Cook at Asian Civilisations Museum

Baker & Cook has returned to ACM with a refreshed menu featuring exclusive dishes imbued with comforting Asian flavours fitting of its location.

Standouts include the Allpress Coffee Glazed Pork Ribs ($24) that are generously coated in a sweet, smoky and aromatic glaze infused with Allpress Coffee, as well as the rich and spicy Toasted Shokupan with Chilli Crab Sauce ($18). For mains, go for the New Zealand Beef Brisket Rendang ($26), an eggs Benedict-inspired dish with spice-packed beef on Pain au Levain sourdough toast. Craving pasta? Try the Seafood Laksa Spaghetti ($26) that's brimming with seafood umami.

Diners can also expect New Zealand-style desserts like Traditional Lamingtons, delicate sponge cakes available in two flavours: chocolate and strawberry.

P.S.: Paw-rents can bring their furry offspring along and dine at the pet-friendly outdoor terrace.

#2 BlackTree

You've seen the little "sheep" get slurped up on social media, and now, it's our turn to do the slurping! BlackTree, the viral Thai milk tea chain in China, just opened its first overseas outlet in Singapore at 313@somerset.

The drink in question is Matcha Wang Lily Lamb ($7.90). Limited to just 200 cups daily, it's made with a fragrant jasmine milk tea base topped with matcha foam forming the "grass". Finally, little lamb shapes are delicately hand-drawn on the foam. Another cutesy drink is the Milky Cat Cheese Thai Milk Tea ($6.90). It's a classic Thai milk tea with coconut jelly and water chestnut popping boba, crowned with BlackTree's signature cheese milk foam shaped like a 3D cat.

While you're there, try the indulgent, dessert-like Thai milk teas with creative pairings like coffee foam that's whipped 400 times or Thai tea gelato.

From 7 to 9 August, customers can enjoy a 1-for-1 deal on all drinks, except for Matcha Wang Lily Lamb and Milky Cat Cheese Thai Milk Tea, limited to one redemption per person per day. There's also a Sure-Win Lucky Draw for the first 300 customers each day, with prizes including a DJI Pocket 4, Maison MargielaReplica perfume, YSL lipstick, a 7-day free drink pass, 1-for-1 vouchers, and more.

#3 Matchaya Tea Studio

Matchaya just opened a new Tea Studio at Tiong Bahru with the latest edition of food & drink offerings, its 3.0 menu featuring two exclusive series.

First is the Whimsical Cloud Series that's exactly as it name implies! Inspired by traditional Japanese wagashi, these green tea-based drinks have a local twist and are topped with an oversized ball of cotton candy! Matcha Cloud 9 ($8) is infused with refreshing coconut water and a dash of sea salt; Dirty Matcha ($8) has a single shot espresso for an extra caffeine kick; and Brown Butter Houjicha ($8) is a warm, nutty delight with a creamy texture and savoury aftertaste. Enjoy each drink on its own first, then mix in the cotton candy for a sweetened drink.

Another exclusive new addition is Rice Burgers. These also include a Singaporean touch, with chicken collagen-fortified rice reminiscent of the iconic chicken rice. Highlights include Signature Matchaya Chicken Katsu ($13) with a juicy fried chicken patty and a zesty kick from yuzu kosho matcha mayonnaise, as well as the Double Tamago with Cheese ($12) that comes with a unique panko-crusted tamago, egg mayonnaise, aburi cheddar cheese, lettuce and delicious fried shallots. Other fillings include crabstick, otak, ebi tempura, and mushroom.

#4 KOI Matcha Series

KOI's Matcha Series makes a triumphant return! Crafted with Uji Matcha, these smooth and fragrant drinks are delicious on its own with no sugar, toppings or even milk! But those who prefer a more traditional matcha can opt for the Uji Matcha Latte (from $5.30) with an oat milk option. There's also the Yuzu Matcha (from $5.30) with a refreshing citrusy flavour and Red Bean Uji Matcha (from $6.50) that has a natural sweetness. Pair it with the new Almond Tofu topping for a nutty flavour and fun texture in every sip.

Matcha lovers can also indulge in the new Uji Matcha Macarons ($7.10 for two). The ⁠Uji Matcha Macaron has a lightly sweet earthy matcha filling, while the ⁠Uji Matcha Red Bean Macaron has azuki red bean for perfect pairing.

From 12 August, customers get free Matcha Popcorn with purchase of two matcha drinks. These Singapore-exclusive snacks are light, crispy and coated with premium Uji Matcha

The drinks are available at all KOI outlets including Signature KOI at Suntec City and Star Vista, and macarons are available at KOI Macaron outlets.

#5 Shake Shack Summer Greek Shack Menu

Shake Shack has unveiled a Mediterranean-inspired menu with tzatziki, made with yogurt, cucumber and garlic, combined with tangy za'atar herbs.

The Summer Greek Shack and Summer Greek Chicken now have beef and chicken patties, respectively, covered in tzatziki and za'atar for a refreshing twist on the classic burgers. Meanwhile, the Summer Greek Fries and Summer Greek Chicken Bites are sprinkled with za'atar and paired with tzatziki dips.

Fancy a summer drink to wash that down with? Try the new Summer Rose 50/50 Lemonade. For dessert, there's the new Summer Peach Series with a Shake, Frozen Custard, and Concrete with a delicious peach flavour.

The Summer Greek Shack Menu is available at all Shake Shack outlets for a limited time.

#6 Sushidan 1-for-1 Maki Sushi

Sushi lovers will be no stranger to Sushidan, the extension of Tokyo's celebrated Hakkoku by Chef Hiroyuki Sato, former head chef of the Michelin-starred Sushi Tokami. The restaurant's first overseas outpost at Raffles City offers one of the most economical omakase experiences in Singapore from just $19.90.

Now, diners can also enjoy enjoy even more value sets and deals. The luxurious fatty tuna is now at a fraction of the usual price with the $6.90++ Toro Zanmai promotion. A luxurious new set on the menu is the Jiyu Omakase Set at $34.90++. This fully customisable omakase set includes a choice of seven pieces of sushi from over 20 options, paired with seasonal chawanmushi, a chef's choice appetiser, mini udon, negitoro handroll and miso soup. Another new deal is the weekday off-peak specials from 3pm to 6pm, including a 1-for-1 maki sushi promotion across selected signature rolls including the Iro Roll with salmon and tuna, Ebi Zen Roll with spicy mayo, and Unagi Zen Roll.

#7 Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine - Over 10 New Dishes

Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine introduces even more dishes to the menu. The line-up includes comforting home-style dishes like Tomato & Egg Stir-Fry, Spring Onion Kampong Chicken and Claypot Three-Cup Chicken, to the extremely spicy Charred Chilli Chicken with Scallion Oil.

Some must-tries include the crispy and tender Sweet and Sour Pork with Pineapple and Stir-Fried Dragon Chives.

To celebrate the launch, Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine is introducing its Tuesday Member's Day where members can enjoy the restaurant's latest menu additions at a promotional price. Two featured dishes will be selected each month and paired with an exclusive members-only offer. Membership is free to join!

#8 MAC Cosmetics x Glasshouse

The Strawberry Rose Kombucha is a refreshing concoction of house-made kombucha infused with strawberry, rose, and pu'er tea, while the Wicked-coded Bandung Rose Matcha has a subtly sweet rose flair. Rounding out the menu is Berryglass, a rich cake with layers of moist chocolate sponge, Brazilian coffee chantilly, raspberry compote, and Valrhona chocolate pearls.
