Aesthetic "Sushi Tacos" & Over 10 Matcha Drinks At SKOSH Hand Roll & Matcha Bar
Love matcha and temaki sushi? Bookmark SKOSH Hand Roll & Matcha Bar.
SKOSH's original outlet in NAFA has a café-style menu with onigiri, sandos, lattes and classic matchas. This new concept has a wide range of hand rolls along with creative matcha beverages.

You might come to SKOSH for their aesthetic, taco-like hand rolls, but you'll stay for the taste!
At the base of each hand roll is Haenuki rice from Yamagata Prefecture that has a satisfying chewy yet light and firm texture. This rice is lightly seasoned with premium red sushi vinegar which imbues it with just the right amount of umami to complement the toppings. It's then wrapped in clean-tasting roasted seaweed from Setouchi.

This perfect base is then generously topped with a variety of delicious proteins. The hand roll is presented like onigiri where the seaweed is in a tear-away wrap that keeps it separate from the rice and toppings. Even after taking our own sweet time snapping pictures (and eating very slowly), the seaweed was still nice and crispy.
An indulgent one to try is the negitoro hand roll ($6.50) which features fresh minced raw tuna infused with fragrant scallion sauce and soy-cured egg yolk, and finished with furikake and fried shallots.

Another standout worth the splurge is the hokkaido N34 hand roll ($10.80). This decadent roll has a juicy Hokkaido N34 wagyu striploin with yakiniku sauce.

If you're in the mood for something spicy, go for the aka ebi hand roll ($4.50) that has a springy Argentinian red shrimp with spiced tomato mayo and tobiko, and the torched octopus hand roll ($6.50) that has an addictive kimchi slaw with chilli flakes, spring onion and almonds adding fun crunch.

We also loved the flavour-packed snow crab hand roll ($5.50) with cucumber, salted egg tempura bits and ponzu pearls.

A unique creation, and one of our favourites, is the samsui scallion chicken hand roll ($4.50). It's reminiscent of hawker-style chicken rice but with an extra-punchy chilli sauce.

Other options include karubi wagyu, unagi, avocado, spicy salmon sashimi, maguro, hokkaido scallop, and engawa.
These hand rolls are available a la carte and as value sets. For a light meal, opt for the 3 hand roll set ($12.80) which includes your choice of three hand rolls. Have a bigger appetite? The 5 hand roll set ($18.80) is more substantial. There's a $2 add-on per premium hand roll - the fancier ones like scallop and octopus.
If you're eyeing the premium ones, indulge in the Tasting Menu Set of five ($32.80). It comes with Snow Crab and Aka Ebi hand rolls as well as three premiums: Torched Octopus, Hokkaido N34, and Negitoro.

Pair these hand rolls with the new sides including Miso Soup ($3) and Sesame Lotus Salad ($5), a refreshing dish with crunchy lotus root, seasonal root vegetables and beans tossed in a black sesame dressing.
And you can't go to a matcha bar without a matcha! In addition to pure matcha drinks ($7 - $13) and trendy variants like strawberry matcha ($9), SKOSH at Scotts Square has outlet-exclusive drinks.
Those with a sweet tooth will love the matcha parfait ($9), a super creamy matcha latte with a slight caramelised taste from Japanese brown sugar syrup. If your palate leans savoury, get the kinako matcha ($9) instead. This nutty, toasty beverage is made with housemade kinako paste, kinako foam, matcha and Japanese brown sugar. Rounding out the exclusives is the miso brown sugar matcha ($9).

Besides matcha, there's also SKOSH's signature drinks including Natural Cola ($7) crafted with housemade botanical cola syrup and soda water. This refreshing beverage has a piquant cinnamon flavour that you either love or hate, but is definitely worth a try!
For dessert, try is the Mochi Matcha Basque Cheesecake ($12). This matcha Basque cheesecake is wrapped in mochi and dusted with extra matcha powder. The combination of velvety cheesecake and chewy mochi creates an irresistible texture.

There's even a fun little activity after your meal: diners who spend $30 or more will get a free customised keychain.

Note: not all hand rolls will be served in the wooden sushi taco stands; some may come on disposable taco plates. But fret not, they're still pretty!
