There’s A Free Doraemon Time Travel-Themed Exhibition At The National Museum Until 27 Dec

If you’ve walked past the National Museum of Singapore recently, you would have spotted a couple of giant Doraemon statues out on the front lawn. And if that isn’t enough indication - we’re here to tell you that there’s a Doraemon exhibition happening there from 31 October to 27 December 2020 with free admission for all.

Going by the name of Doraemon’s Time-Travelling Adventures, this indoor and outdoor exhibition will include tons of photo opportunities while letting you learn more about tech gadgets.

Probably the biggest highlight of the Doraemon exhibition at the National Museum would be the life-sized Doraemon statues scattered all across the field in front of the entrance.

There are 14 of these in total, each with the robot cat from various eras, with different poses and props. These include a handbag-holding Doraemon next to the Anywhere Door, which allows the character to teleport anywhere he wants.

Needless to say, this installation is one of the prime photo spots of the exhibition. Get creative and strike a pose for adorable snaps!

There’s more in store indoors. Those who grew up watching the Doraemon cartoon series on television would know that he’s all about the gadgets, and fittingly, the indoor zone will make you travel back in time as you learn more about the devices that were popular back in the day, as well as the futuristic ones produced right here in Singapore.

You’ll also spot a yellow version of Doraemon - what he looked like before a mouse ate his ears and he turned blue from crying.

Apart from that, you’ll get to try designing your own gadget based on real-life artefacts, as well as go on a scavenger hunt to win exclusive Doraemon merchandise with a special Singaporean twist.
