In a recent post on Instagram, she lashed out at Malaysians for constantly mocking her name, which happens to mean “pig” in Malay.

Babi, whose real name is So Young, is part of 10-member dance group Fly With Me which debuted just last year. As people around the world started to pick up on them, Malaysians in particular have been flooding her page with comments mocking her stage moniker.

Some even patronisingly call her the “the prettiest pig in the world”, while others have told her to change her name as “it’s like a curse word” in their country.

Fed up with all the teasing, she posted an angry clap back on Instagram specifically directed to those haters. Part of the now-deleted post reads, “I am not interested in your language. So it doesn't’ matter what my name means in your language. And I didn’t know your country, but I don’t want to know it anymore”.

She ends off by saying that she will report and block all accounts that post such comments in the future.

The comment function on her posts are currently disabled.

For the record, Babi is a slim, leggy beauty and looks nothing like a pig.

Do remember that the word “bae” means “poop” in Danish, but many of us still call our significant others that.

At the end of the day, cyberbullying is never okay, and can take its toll on a person whether famous or otherwise. Let’s not forget what happened to Hana Kimura, who recently died in an apparent suicide after receiving tons of nasty comments from haters.
