A New Twilight Book, 'Midnight Sun' Is Coming To You This Summer!
Fans of Edward Cullen, the brooding vampire hero from Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling “Twilight” series, BRACE yourselves as the long-awaited prequel is coming to you this summer!

Myer announced that 'Midnight Sun', the new novel in her vampire romance series, will be published on August 4, more than a decade after the original story concluded. The new book will be a companion novel to the series that retells the love story of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen through Edward Cullen’s perspective.

"I hope this announcement doesn’t seem ill-timed,” Meyer wrote on her website, alluding to the ongoing coronavirus crisis. “I really considered delaying the release until the world was back to normal. However, 1) who knows when that will be? And 2) you guys have waited long enough. Much longer than long enough, actually.”

Meyer also expressed her concern of her readers and their families during this time and hopes her new book will offer “some pleasure and something fun to look forward to.”

“It’s a crazy time right now and I wasn’t sure if this was the right time to put this book out, but some of you have been waiting for just so, so long,” Meyer said, per Good Morning America, on Monday, May 4th. “It didn’t seem fair to make you wait anymore. Sorry about the bad timing. Hopefully, this book can be a distraction from the real world. I’m so excited to finally be able to share it with you.”
