Make McDonald's Chocolate Pie At Home With This Easy No-Bake Recipe

It's only been a few days since all McDonald's outlets in Singapore shut its doors but if you're already missing their comfort food, you can always recreate it at home!

We've found an easy no-bake recipe for their delicious molten chocolate pie that you can try making at home. No oven is needed and the ingredients are affordable and easy to find in most supermarkets.

YouTuber Foodypar has come up with an eggless chocolate pie recipe inspired by McDonald's well-loved dessert.

Ingredients for filling:
-3/4 Cup Cocoa powder
-1 & 1/2 cups icing sugar
-7 tbsp evaporated milk
-2 tsp coffee
-1 tsp margarine
-Cooking oil

Ingredients for crust:
-1 cup all-purpose flour
-1/4 cup cocoa powder
-1/8 cup sugar
-1/4 cup margarine
-1/4 cup evaporated milk
-1 egg yolk
-1/4 tsp coffee

How to make:

1. Mix the cocoa powder and icing sugar together in a bowl.

2. Add evaporated milk bit by bit while stirring into the mixture.

3. Add coffee powder. The texture should look like molten chocolate. Refrigerate for one hour.

4. Add all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, coffee powder, sugar and margarine.

5. Add in evaporated milk bit by bit while mixing to create a dough.

6. Flatten it using a rolling pin and divide it into four squares. Add a bit of flour if the dough is too sticky.

7. Add 1.2 tablespoon of the chocolate filling in each square of dough. Fold the square in half and pinch the edges to seal it and form the pie. Repeat for the other three dough pieces.

8. Lightly beat the egg yolk and brush onto both sides of the pie crust.

9. Pour cooking oil into a pan and fry the chocolate pies once the oil is hot. Fry both sides until it darkens.

And there you have it! Delicious chocolate pies just like the ones you get at McDonald's with a crispy crust and oozing chocolate in the middle.
