Has severe RBF but is fairly jolly and carefree on the inside. Degree of life satisfaction is heavily influenced by food.

Everyone could do with a few hours of bliss every now and then. We're talking a spot of afternoon tea sipping on mocktails, refined teas and coffees, nibbling on the prettiest little morsels, and relaxing in a luxurious space.

If that sounds like something you desperately need (and probably deserve), here are 5 new afternoon teas in March to fill your calendar with:

#1 High Tea at The Whisper Room @ C.O.T.U, CapitaGreen

The Whisper Room in Centre Of The Universe (C.O.T.U) at Raffles Place has introduced an all-new High Tea program. Every item incorporates flavours and ingredients from a different region in Japan, so diners are taking their tastebuds on a little holiday around the land of the rising sun.

Start on a high note with the delectable pressed salmon, akami, and chutoro sushi with nori tempura, sushi rice, avocado lime, spicy mayo, and cucumber. This is accompanied by a nourishing Japanese slow-roasted sweet potato salad with smoked toro that's reminiscent of lovingly home-cooked meals. On the tiered stand are bites including Bass Strait & Stone Axe Wagyu beef tartare and Chitose cherry tomato tart with whipped goat’s cheese.

For dessert, there's the ceremonial grade matcha & Chitose strawberry roll, Okinawa crème caramel, chocolate layer cake, Hokkaido passionfruit cheesecake, and the Mikan orange madeleines from Wakayama.

To top it all off, all this deliciousness is served in a romantic, retro-esque lounge overlooking the Singapore skyline.

The Exploration of Japan High Tea is available from Tuesday to Friday from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, and is priced at $68++ per person.

Shangri-La Singapore's annual International Women's Day afternoon tea is back! This time, the feast will start with a main course, a rarity in the afternoon tea scene, including exquisite choices like Seared Wagyu Beef Bolar Blade and Confit Beet Cured Pink Salmon. Following that scrumptious entrée will be warm scones with Hibiscus Jam, Mascarpone Cream, and Yuzu Curd, as well as refreshing sandwiches and hot savouries like Seared Hokkaido Scallop and Forest Mushroom and Blue Pea Flower Arancini. The finale will be a tray of beautiful desserts including Tea Blossom Éclair and Sunlit Swirl. Complement these bites with tea, coffee or the pretty purple Flora Mocktail made with Sparkling Green Tea, Violet, Butterly Pea Flower, and Vitamin.

For every Empower Her afternoon tea set sold, Shangri-La Singapore will donate SGD 5 to local non-profit organisation
United Women Singapore (UWS). The proceeds will directly support UWS's key programmes which aim to equip girls with skills and prepare them for the workforce in the STEM industries and beyond.

As a cherry on top, diners will receive a complimentary Estée Lauder gift, while stocks last.
