Still not convinced? Here are five reasons why you need to watch Triad Princess now.

#1 Jasper Liu is the male lead - must we say more?

Jasper Liu who started out as a model and ventured into acting is one of the hottest stars in Taiwan right now and he's here to steal more hearts!

The actor with dashing good looks and cute dimples plus professional acting chops previously starred in the highest-grossing Taiwanese movie of 2018, More Than Blue. He also acted in Before We Get Married, the popular Taiwanese drama about love, friendship and betrayal.

In Triad Princess, he portrays the character Xu Yi Hang, a top TV star who falls in love with the daughter of a powerful triad boss, who is also a bodyguard working for the agency that is representing him.

#2 A badass and strong female lead

Ni An Qi, played by Eugenie Liu, is not your usual damsel in distress like the ones portrayed in other romantic comedies.

Maybe it's the fact that she grew up in a triad which shaped her into the strong and badass lady that she is today but we can't deny that it's extremely satisfying to see that #GirlBoss image portrayed in more dramas these days.

She fights for what she wants and craves for an independent life of her own, having grown up in the shadows of her triad boss father. Ni An Qi is a refreshing character that will give you major #GirlCrush vibes, making Triad Princess all the more an enjoyable watch.

#3 An interesting take on triads

Negative connotations are often associated with the word "triad". Well, it's in fact talking about crime syndicates which isn't a good thing but Triad Princess has managed to give it a twist by making it comical rather than intimidating.

You will see gangsters doing questionable and funny things, a triad boss who cannot handle his stubborn daughter and many more (we don't want to spoil the show for you).

Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of emotions while watching this romcom series!

#4 Solid chemistry between the two main leads

It's not a good romcom drama if there's no sizzling and solid chemistry between the main leads, right? Although it's Jasper and Eugenie's first time working together, it definitely did not seem like it on screen.

Watch Triad Princess and you might just start shipping the both of them together!

#5 There are only six episodes

Having just six episodes can be a good thing for those with short attention spans. For those who are wondering if that means the plot is rushed to fit into just six episodes, you won't have to worry because the storyline progresses naturally.

You can watch Triad Princess on Netflix here.
