Aloysius Pang Condition Worsen Last Night And Is Currently On Artificial Life Support

Everyone, let's keep calm and pray for Aloysius Pang. In a nutshell, on 19 Jan, something heavy fell on Aloysius' chest and stomach area. Now, he is critically ill and relying on life support. It all happened while he was carrying out repair works on a Singapore Self-Propelled Howitzer, an artillery gun, during his reservist duty in New Zealand.

He has won Mediacorp's Star Award Top 10 Male Artistes and is known as one of Mediacorp's new generation of 8 dukes with rising potential.

 

This promising young Singapore actor, most notably known for his role in My Friends From Afar(知星人), where he acted as an alien from outer space with co-star Carrie Wong. In the drama, he (or 陈祥林 in the drama) was impregnated with a mixed species baby with co-star, Paige Chua (or 杨天宁 in the drama).

Aloysius, who is only 28 years old this year, was injured while carrying out repair works inside a Singapore Self-Propelled Howitzer at Waiouru Training Area. Since then, he had undergone abdominal surgery and removed part of his intestine.

The world took on to social media to cheer him on as the operation was a success and his conditions improved. As quoted from Dr. Teo on Channel NewsAsia, "Currently Aloysius is in a stable condition, his vitals are stable, and he's awake, alert and he's breathing on his own, not requiring any mechanical ventilation,"

However today, Dr Ng Eng Han shared on a Facebook post, "CFC (NS) Pang’s condition is very serious and presently he needs artificial life support of his lungs, kidneys, and heart. Dr Teo told me that surgeons and staff at the Waikato Hospital – a regional trauma center – are doing all they possibly can to keep up the support and improve his condition."

We hope and pray for Aloysius to recover speedily and be in good health very soon again.
