If you have never watched We Bare Bears, you might remember them as the 'bears who are all over Miniso' or the bears who walk around in stacks.

Something like this...

But for those who are already a big fan of the bears, watch their origin story now and fall in love with them all over again!

Grizzly's Origin Story

We are not too sure if Grizzly was born in a forest in the U.S.  He was found perched on a tree by park rangers wailing in distress. One of the kind souls climbed up (the ladder) to get him. He offered Grizzly his arm which the baby bear grabbed hold after some hesitation.

Panda's Origin Story

Panda was originally from China and was raised in captivity until he escaped the facility one day with the help of his 'friend', Panda 2 who is really, a stuffed toy.

Ice Bear's Origin Story

Ice Bear came from the Russian Arctic and was raised by Yuri, a man he met while escaping from some hunters. After 'saving' Yuri from a terrible fall, he decided to 'adopt' Ice Bear after realising that Ice Bear is a smart bear. Ice Bear subsequently learned the craft of 'being human' from Yuri. He was taught the Russian language, how to make meals and did other manual tasks. Yuri and Ice Bear was forced to part one day when hunters found them.

About We Bare Bears

Besides being one of the leading original series on Cartoon Network's video app, We Bare Bears is also a show that carries a lot of depth. Probably way more than you can imagine.

It shows themes of tolerance and diversity which is very relevant to what we are seeing in the world today, especially in the US.

Inspired By Dilemmas We Face In Our Everyday Life

We Bare Bears is centred on three besties (Grizzly, Panda and Ice Bear) and how they awkwardly try to fit into human society.

According to Daniel Chong, the Los Angeles-based creator, the bears are very human-like. They face our daily dilemmas such as dealing with online dating (pssst, Panda!) and our 'obsession' with getting as many "likes" as possible on social media on top of the fact that they are not humans.
