We've all been there: staring at the group chat, no one pitching new dining suggestions, and ending up at the same familiar spot for the nth time. But it's a new year, a new you, and time for a new dining calendar!

2026 has just begun but there are already new restaurants, themed afternoon teas, festive menus and more to mix things up. Skip the planning and research. Here's what to add to your to-eat list:

New Menus & Dining Promotions

#1 Sushi Tei's The Hokkaido Fair Menu

From now until 15 March 2026, Sushi Tei is serving up a limited-time menu that showcases Hokkaido's pristine seafood and soul-warming specialties. For something hearty, go for the A4 Hokkaido Steak Don ($33.80), which has a beautifully marbled striploin resting atop steamed Japanese rice with mushrooms, salmon roe, and onsen egg. Prefer sushi? Get the King Prawn Roll ($21.80) that's topped with avocado, crab meat, and black flying fish roe.

Seafood lovers can opt for the Hokkaido Ishikari Nabe ($23.80) that arrives bubbling in a rich crab broth, brimming with Hanasaki crab, salmon, and abalone. Another option is the Uni Cream Pasta ($23.80), where fragrant garlic meets the sweetness of sea urchin in a smooth sauce. And for a sweet, whimsical finish, the Hokkaido Corn ice cream ($4.80) tastes uncannily like fresh corn.

#2 Firangi Superstar's New Menu Additions

Step inside this modern Indian restaurant along Craig Road and it's like you're in a palace you want to live in; lavish furnishings and gilded details give it grandeur, but the cosy dim lighting and unpretentious vibes keep it feeling homey. It's the kind of spot you save for birthdays or other special occasions, but since the menu just got a refresh, it's the perfect excuse to book a table, even if the occasion is treating yourself.

New additions include two new house-made dips - a creamy Coconut raita and a punchy Spiced Mango - for the Chutney & Raita (2 for $10 or 3 for $14). For mains, The Bengal Bake Off ($108) features a whole seabass baked in salt dough and infused with kasundi cream sauce. If you're craving meat, go for Back In The Saddle ($21 per 100g), a tandoori-spiced lamb with a sauce that makes for a perfect dip with the signature naans, including the must-order Black Garlic Naan ($14).

It's coated in a sweet ginger plum glaze and has subtle citrus accents from zesty tangerine and honeyed pineapple.

Crafted perfectly to complement this main dish, the refreshing Jasmine Prosperi-Tea ($9.80) is a fragrant jasmine tea with lime, tangerine, and honey, while the Abundance Citrus Cream Latte ($9.80) brings a bright twist to espresso with hints of orange.

From 17 February to 3 March 2026, every purchase at the cafe will come with a complimentary fortune cookie, with some holding fortunes and others a free drink from the new menu.

It comes in Beef ($17.80) with a generous serving of juicy meat, as well as the indulgent Seafood ($18.80) with abalone, scallops and salmon. It's sprinkled with a fragrant mala seasoning that has a mild level of spice so even the team xiao-xiao-la people can enjoy it. To cool the palate, a limited-time Yuzu Cake ($4.90) offers a light, citrus-kissed finish.

Diners who spend over $48 will receive a hilariously oversized Giant Red Packet, while stocks last. It contains a set of Peppie Couplets and six regular-sized red packets. Pepper Lunch Express also has MALA SO SHIOK! bowls in Beef ($8.90) or Salmon ($9.30) from now till 28 February.
