Finally, our plea is heard. FREE MOVIE SCREENINGS are popping up all over Singapore in a bid to strengthen the community and family development. Of course, it means cheapo dates and more life injected to money-pinchers who refuse to bring their dates to the theatre to save that $10/ticket.

1. Tampines North
The above picture is taken at the community courtyard between Blk 480 and 484 in Tampines North. It drew a crowd of 300~600 back in 2015 as reported by The Straits Times. This project titled 'Tampines North's Movies Under the North Stars' is still ongoing. A movie will be screened on the first Saturday of each month, free admission and open to all!
2. Our Tampines Hub

Taking it a step further, the new 'Our Tampines Hub' has also started free movie screening on Saturdays at OTH Festival Plaza(below). Sometimes, there will be movie marathon the entire day! Wowww. 3. B.Y.O Cinema (Various Locations In Singapore)
It means 'Bring Your Own Cinema'. They organise pop-ups all over Singapore to bring back the old outdoor movie experience. So, prepare your own picnic mat, food, chope a good spot and follow their facebook event for more updates on exact venue and etc.

National Library will be screening kids movies such as 'Moana', 'The Shower', 'The Road Called Life' and more movies at Bukit Panjang Library, Woodlands Library, Central Tree House Library and more. For more information, click here. This is more for family and kids. Warning: Do not bring your dates here! It will not be very nice...

In recent years, more people and organisations are coming up with free movie screenings across Singapore. So no complaints on this, we love cheapo free stuff.
