To make it more exciting, Disney Parks Blog describes Villains Land a place that will "encompass all your nightmares." "Be prepared, you poor unfortunate souls," said Josh, a nod to Ursula in The Little Mermaid. "It’s going to be a fearless new vision for what a Disney experience can be."
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, things are getting monstrous with a new area dedicated to Pixar's Monsters, Inc. Disney has also announced new attractions for Cars, Iron Man, Coco, Encanto, Indiana Jones, and The Lion King in 2026. The constructions will begin next year 2025.
Villains Land, Magic Kingdom
Back in 2022, Disney dropped a sneaky hint about a new land dedicated to their most notorious villains, and the anticipation has been brewing ever since.
Villains Land will rise beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom, bringing wicked shopping, dining, and two thrilling attractions. This new area will expand into an undeveloped space, so guests will not only enjoy exciting new attractions but also get to explore a bigger Magic Kingdom!
On Instagram, Disney Parks dropped a thrilling post with creepy music and a mix of villains from Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland, plus some more recent troublemakers from Tangled and The Emperor’s New Groove. The short clip ends with Hades from Hercules blowing out the flames on his finger.

The new area will feature a roller coaster inspired by the iconic hanging doors scene. It’s Disney’s first suspended coaster, meaning guests will be seated below the track. The construction for the Monsters, Inc. Land will begin in 2025.
While Disney hasn’t shared a construction timeline for Villains Land, Josh D’Amaro reassured fans, saying, “I just want to be clear to all the fans out there: This isn’t blue sky. We are going to do all of this."
Well, we shall wait and see!
