If you appreciate a good waffle cone as much as you do an indulgent scoop of ice cream, Ugly Cones is probably right up your alley! Created by the minds behind Asylum Coffeehouse, this new Japanese-inspired ice cream parlour offers the world's first-ever umami cone, which come with a deliciously deep and savoury flavour.
It might take you a little while to find their 'hidden' hideout at Wisma Atria, since this dessert cafe is a literal hole-in-the-wall. Diners can order conveniently from an automated kiosk, and then grab their cones from a little pickup 'hole'.

We recommend trying their signature Japanese-inspired Orijinaru (Original) Ugly Cone (from $7.50), which puts the spotlight on flavour rather than appearance (thus the name). You can then choose from mouthwatering ice cream flavours like Chokorēto (Chocolate), Ichigo (Japanese Strawberry), and Miruku-ame (Hokkaido Milk, Madagascar Vanilla, and Mizuame).

Since the Ugly Cones cream parlour is located right next door to Asylum: The Coffee Library, visitors can also grab their ice cream cones and a cuppa at the same time! The Coffee Library is not only home to these gorgeous Moon Brew coffees (cold brew drinks in takeaway bottles), there is also a huge array of coffee beans packaged in vintage-style tins, providing a wonderfully Instagrammable experience for coffee and ice cream lovers alike.
