The Feather Blade Opens Its Second Outlet At East Coast With Affordable Steaks, A New Seafood Bar & Exclusive Dishes
If you've ever craved a solid steak but without the typical high price point, chances are that The Feather Blade is the first thing that comes to mind. The steakhouse is best known and loved for its clever take on alternative steak cuts that won't break the bank. After opening its first restaurant at Tanjong Pagar, The Feather Blade is unveiling its second outlet at East Coast.
This new outlet will have the same alternative cuts of beef, including the signature Feather Blade Steak, along with new and store-exclusive mains, sides, sauces and desserts to complete the meal. As a special treat, diners get to enjoy free steaks on 28 November to celebrate their opening.

Diners are welcomed into a relaxing space with a cool, NYC-esque interior design. There's also complimentary popcorn to enjoy while browsing through the menu.

If you fancy sampling a more unique steak, go for the Bincho Feather Blade ($28). I like my steaks well-marbled and with a strong umami flavour, and this one by The Feather Blade doesn't tick either of those boxes, but I found it surprisingly satisfying. It was tender, grilled to perfection, and glazed with tare for subtle hints of sweetness.

Another new and exclusive feature to this restaurant is the seafood bar, which offers a delicious assortment of fresh seafood like Hokkaido Scallops ($16) and Shrimp Cocktail ($18.50). Oyster lovers will be pleased with the Canadian Oysters (from $7 per pair, happy hour price: $2.50 per piece) that have a natural sweetness that's enhanced with a piquant and refreshing twist of Salsa Taquera or Ponzu Ikura.

The Feather Blade has also ventured into the sando world, offering outlet-exclusive Japanese-style sandwiches. These simple yet satisfying bites are made with toasted Japanese milk bread and indulgent fillings like Swordfish Belly ($32). This was the juicy and flavour-packed highlight of the meal thanks to the thick cut of fish that was tender yet offered plenty of bite - rather reminiscent of katsu! The Sandos also come in two other renditions: Steak ($34) and Cheesy Egg ($21).

These mains wouldn't feel complete without the delicious sides. Standouts include Aubergine ($7.50), a silky Australian eggplant prepared with feta cheese, miso glaze, balsamico and cashew nuts, and White Corn ($8.50), some of the sweetest corn I've tried given an oomph with smoked paprika oil, taragon cream and a slight char. Another must-order is the Fries ($7.50) that's triple cooked in wagyu beef fat, making it brilliantly crispy and and potently aromatic.
On opening day 28 November 2023, diners can enjoy free steaks from 6pm for every dine-in customer (limited to one steak per person). This promotion is available for walk-ins only, while steaks last.
Those who missed this deal can also enjoy other opening specials from 28 November to 31 December 2023. During this period, diners can get 15% off lunch for orders from the ala carte menu. On top of that, there's also Happy Shucking Hour where naked oysters are only $2.50++ per piece with every drink ordered (maximum 6 pieces) before 7pm.
The Feather Blade will also have a rotation of deals on weekdays and during lunch hour including free meals for kids under 7 for every main dish ordered, two cocktails for $22 and more.
