Shine Muscat Crepe from Fruits Café TOKIO

What's a visit to a Japanese food fair without indulging in some refreshing sweets? Nothing says autumn like a Shine Muscat Crepe ($10), made with fresh cream and topped with lush green grapes. These ones from Fruits Café TOKIO look just like the popular and ultra pretty crepes from Harajuku! If you have an insatiable sweet tooth, make sure to snatch one up to try for yourself.
Honzukuri Warabimochi from Bashodo

Anyone who enjoys traditional Japanese snacks definitely has to check out the Bashodo stall's delicious Honzukuri Warabimochi ($21 for 400g). For the uninitiated, warabimochi is made with bracken starch and has a squishy, soft texture, along with a taste that isn't overly sweet. The mochi comes in two flavours: soybean powder and matcha powder.
Mini Taiyaki with Chestnut Cream from Yakimono Club

Bigger is not always better, especially when it comes to these Mini Taiyaki from Yakimono Club. Besides being super cute and Instagrammable, these tiny pastry fishes stuffed with chestnut cream are ideal for sharing. Now you and your company can have even more room for other snacks!
Wagyu Bao from Niku Master

Beef lovers, make your way to Niku Master for some piping hot Wagyu Bao (1 for $6, 2 for $10), stuffed with juicy, tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef! You might want to try the Nikumaki Kiritampo as well — this less-commonly found snack is made of rice wrapped round a stick and then grilled! Not sure what that would taste like, but it is certainly a rather unique concept worth checking out.
Kumamon Ningyo Yaki with Sweet Potato Cream from Monario

Stop by the Monario stall for these adorable Kumamon Ningyo Yaki ($5), which come in the shape of the beloved black bear character! Each fluffy cake is filled with sweet potato cream and comes in a variety of flavours. Definitely a perfect gift for anyone who appreciates some extra kawaii in their life (or to hoard as snacks for yourself)!
