Photo from MetaJam Asia
There has been much chatter about non-fungible tokens (NFTs) lately, but don’t worry if you’re as clueless as we are. MetaJam, Singapore’s first NFT festival, will give you a better glimpse and understanding of the metaverse through fun, interactive, and informative exhibits. Just head down to this neon-lit space with an open mind, and if all else fails, then at least stay for the vibes, art, and photo ops.

#6: Cuddle kitties at Cat Paradise, Singapore’s first cageless cat adoption centre
Photo from Cat Paradise
If you’ve been to cat shelters and adoption drives, you’d know that these places don’t often let you interact with your potential pet much, with the felines mostly kept within the four walls of their cages. But Cat Paradise deviates from that, letting both serious potential adopters and casual cat-lovers freely play with all the rescue kitties on site for just $15.
More interaction means a higher chance of a bond forming, so don’t be surprised if some of the cats climb onto your lap for cuddles! Another plus point is that sessions are capped at a maximum of 6 patrons, so you won’t have to fight with the adorable fluffballs for attention.
Photo from Cat Paradise
Can’t get enough? You can opt to purchase a value-for-money day pass, which will allow you to while away your time amidst the cats for the entire day, from morning till closing. You might even make a new fur-ever friend that you’ll eventually take home!

As part of this limited-time event, there will also be Disney and Sanrio merchandise stores where you can pick up everything from plushies to practical home items and gifts for your besties.

#14: Enjoy an affordable loft staycay with resin or chocolate workshop
Photo from Studio M
The first-world problem is real: Going on a staycation to unwind, chilling in your room for a couple of hours, and not knowing what to do with yourself after. Especially if you’ve already gone on multiple staycations in recent times and the novelty has somewhat worn off.
But that won’t be the case at the newly-reopened Studio M - and it’s not just because of their contemporary loft studios, although that’s already quite a draw in itself. The boutique hotel now has affordable staycation + workshop packages, which are great for couples looking to find some extra excitement and try a new activity together.

Photo from Rogan Yeoh
It’s pretty darn happening at the Esplanade this month, thanks to the comeback of Flipside, which had unfortunately been on hold for the past 2 years due to the plague. With a mix of indoor and outdoor events - both free and ticketed - this festival will celebrate the best of the arts with acrobatic performances, theatre, comedy, and more.

One that particularly stands out to us is Millefeuilles, an interactive art installation that you’ll have to use the flashlight of your mobile phone to navigate. We’re also intrigued by Me, My Monsters, My Friends, a circus show that also explores the themes of self-acceptance and facing one’s fears.
