Also the brainchild of Singapore hanfu studio, 梦回 Menghui Another Day, this second rendition of the hanfu high tea will be held at Tea Chapter, a traditional tea room that’s been in business since 1989. Both venues are located in Chinatown, a stone’s throw from each other.

Set aside at least 3.5 hours for this hanfu afternoon tea session, for it’s meant to be a relaxed one with multiple parts that you don’t want to rush through. You’ll first be visiting Menghui to choose your preferred hanfu, before getting dolled up by the skilled staff with ornate Chinese hair accessories. This will take about 45 minutes. You can even request for fake hair to be attached to your real locks for that true ancient oriental princess look!

The gents aren’t left out either, as there are male hanfu sets for them to don as well.
Once you’re looking the part, you’ll be given 1 hour of photography time in Menghui’s studio, complete with selfie stands, professional lighting, and a whole lot of props.

After snapping photos in all your regalia, you’ll be picking a second hanfu, and be escorted to Tea Chapter by the staff for your little treat. Fret not, the walk will take just 3 to 5 minutes, so there’ll be nary a chance for the hot weather to mess up your impeccable styling.

- Dragon Rice Balls (6 pieces)

Tea Chapter’s premises have various zones with traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese-style seating, and they’re all perfect for photo-taking. During this 1.5-hour teatime session, you’re also allowed to head out of the teahouse to snap some photos in your hanfu, against the apt culture-rich backdrop of Chinatown’s streets.

Once everything is done, you’ll be heading back to Menghui to change out of the costume and go back to peasant mode.
Good news: While the previous hanfu afternoon tea package was only a limited-time thing, this collaboration with Tea Chapter will be a long-term one, with brand new concepts every few months.
