Show Your Eemo: New Pop-Up Exhibition In Singapore Features The Works Of Art Toy Designer Jessica Emmett
If the rising popularity of Bearbricks, Mighty Jaxx and Pop Mart are any indication, many who were once content with collecting mass produced items are developing a taste for designer toys.
Fans and collectors of these unique and limited edition art toys will have something to add to their March calendar - the pop-up Show Your Eemo exhibition by illustrator and art toy designer Jessica Emmett.

Held from 12 March to 12 April 2022 at BLAXK by ActionCity, Show Your Eemo showcases the work of UK artist Jessica Emmett, with the Eemo Cloud as the star of the exhibition.
This cloud has quite the relatable character, representing a depressed yet hopeful cloud releasing a downpour. It was created by the artist as a reflection of mental health issues in society and to serve as hope for brighter days.

The cloud motif features as a mural at the gallery exterior at Funan mall and as a cute photo op.

The full range of Jessica's key archival pieces will be on display, including works dating back to 2016.

A highlight of the exhibition are the 19 custom Eemo Cloud pieces contributed by 19 local and international artists who have directly impacted Jessica's art toy career.

One that caught my eye was We Are Together (ANATOY & Jessica) by South Korean artist Sung of ANATOY (Seongdeuk Kim). Designed with the concept of hugging and being together, this toy features a bright pink cloud embraced by Anatoy with a colourful rainwater base reminiscent of stained glass.

Visitors will also get to see the three latest art toy creations by Jessica: Spider Bear (2022), Texture Monster – Break (2022) and Centaur - Merry Go Round x Jessica Emmett (2022).
