33-year-old Dee Kosh, whose real name is Darryl Ian Koshy, was first called out in August 2020 in a series of exposé posts on social media platforms Instagram and Twitter, with firsthand text receipts attached. These posts were by the victims themselves - teenage boys who were just aged 16 and 17 when the incidents happened - stating that Dee had offered them money in exchange for sexual services.

The legal age of consent in Singapore is 16 years. However, it is illegal to procure commercial sex with those under the age of 18, even with consent.

Initially, Dee refuted all claims, but later on came forward with an apology, where he sought forgiveness and promised to do better.

As a result of his inappropriate behaviour, Dee was dropped by radio station Power 98 as well as from Night Owl Cinematics’ lineup of hosts. Subsequently, all 6 of the boys working under him also started a new YouTube channel - without their original ringleader. The channel has been thriving well, while Dee hasn’t posted any new video content since the allegations surfaced.

The court has since been informed by Dee’s lawyer of his intention to plead guilty for various charges including obtaining paid sexual services from minors, sexual exploitation, and making and possesseing of obscene films. The date set for this is 10 March 2022.

If found guilty, Dee will be facing a fine, jail time, or both.
