Ah Boys To Men's Noah Yap Makes Horror Debut In 2359: The Haunting Hour
Besides main lead Richie Koh, we will also be seeing a few familiar faces on the big screen with one of them being Noah Yap.
Yes, our ah boy is taking on the role of another NSF but this time, he only speaks Hokkien.
Singaporeans should be familiar with the 25-year-old as he's one of the main Ah Boys we watched on the big screen the past few years.
Though he's acted as a NSF countless times, this movie marks his debut in a horror film. Congrats!
It seems like Singapore just really have a thing for army boys-related movies~ This is evident from the success of Jack Neo's Ah Boys To Men franchise which produced a total of 4 movies! We are not complaining, though. At least we have some local movies up and running in theatres~ #supportlocal

I am truly blessed and grateful to be always given new opportunities to do what I love. It was truly an honour to be a part of this production ?? Catch me as I make my horror movie debut while speaking Hokkien the entire time and running away from a Japanese ghost ?
We are just really glad to be seeing him again! The last was probably in Jack Neo's Wonderful! Liang Xi Mei, a movie where Noah starred as an ah beng kidnapper.

Life After Leaving Prison (Or in his case, Detention Barrack)
In 2016, Noah was in camp serving his (real) national service (NS) when he was found guilty for cannabis consumption (taking weed).
“They took me to the police station, and tested my urine and it was positive."
He was then sentenced to nine months in jail in the Singapore Armed Forces' detention barracks (DB).
In an interview with 8 Days, Noah shared that he was jobless for six months after he was released from DB.
I was jobless for six months. And I slipped into, not depression, but sadness. I‘m taking this step to tell people that I admit what I did was wrong, and I’m never going to do it again. I just hope that people will learn to forgive, move on and accept me again.
I was quite down on my finances. I had to borrow from [the Ah Boys] and family to sustain me financially for a while. They really helped me in my time of need. Of course, I had to pay them back once I could. Things are much better now. Job offers and a lot of other opportunities have increased.

It took time [before job offers started rolling in].
And it also took that one person to say, “Hey, look, Noah‘s actually a good guy. Whatever has happened has happened. So why don’t you try to use him?” That opportunity came in the form of Ah Boys To Men 4, when director Jack Neo decided to take a chance on me again.
