Deepika Padukone won our hearts with her oh-so-gorgeous looks and her iconic hand wave in Om Shaanti Om and ever since she has never failed to impress us. She keeps getting better with each role and mesmerises her audience with her acting skills. Now she is all set to step into the shoes of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in a film titled Chhappak. The movie is directed by Meghna Gulzar and will mark DP's debut as a producer.
Deepika Padukone turned 34 yesterday and the actress celebrated her special day in a much more unique way and we are impressed! From leaving for Lucknow in early morning hours for the promotions of her upcoming movie Chhapaak, the actress is her work mode even on her birthday.
Taking Off With Ranveer
Deepika Padukone and husband Ranveer Sigh left from Mumbai for Lucknow early in the morning. Ranveer as always was seen showering love on his wife and the birthday girl Deepika as he accompanied her for Chhapaak's promotions. Like a gentleman not only he opened the car's door for DP but also walked hand in hand, making her go all smiles. Oh my my, who doesn't dream of a husband like that. Someone who is willing to make all the effort just to be by your side.
Airport Cake Cutting
Hang in guys there's more to the celebration. DP encountered a passionate fan at the airport - a photographer who waited all night with a cake in his hand to wish the birthday girl. And Deepika being the sweetest like always, did not disappoint his fan and not only did she cut the cake brought by him, but also fed the fan first and then offered the cake to her husband. And guess what made it even more special, the old classic 'Tum jiyo hazaaro saal' played in the background, adding to the precious moment.
Stunning In White
Like I just said - with less than 5 days left for the release of her movie, DP is in full work mode. She looked like a traditional angel in white for another set of promotions in Lucknow. This was for a special interaction of the actress with acid attack survivors at a cafe run by them. To our interest, these brave women have also featured in the movie.
The birthday girl dressed in a white embellished sharara by designer Anjul Bhandari. She paired it with footwear from Needle Dust and a pair of emerald and gold drop earrings. She is drop-dead gorgeous, ain't she?
The actress cut a cake and clicked pictures with the women from Sheroes, an NGO that works for acid attack survivors. Laxmi Agarwal was also present at the celebration with other women from the organisation. Chhapaak actor Vikrant Massey was also there as Deepika cut her birthday cake.
