Hina Khan Confirms Exit from Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Aamna Sharif Is Our New Komolika

Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay is one of the most popular shows of the small screen. It is the revamped version of old daily soap. In it, Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes are seen as Anurag and Prerna whereas Hina Khan played the antagonist, Komolika. The latter bowled us over with her Nikkaaa swag. However, she had to leave the show in between due to her other work commitments. As Hina has a lot of projects in her kitty, it was being said that she might leave the show. However, nothing was confirmed.

Now, Ekta has finally broken her silence as she tweeted, New komo? But who." Hina was quick to reply. She wrote, "Best wishes".

Speculations were rife that ex Bigg Boss contestants Gauahar Khan and Karishma Tanna have been approached to play Komolika but these turned out to be mere rumours. Kahiin Toh Hoga fame Aamna Sharif has confirmed that she is the new Komolika. The lady is very excited to play a negative character for the first time.

While talking to Times of India, Aamna said, "The reason for the break was the need to reinvent my personal life. It would have been easy to stay in my comfort zone and come back with a love story, but that wouldn’t have satiated me as an actor. It’s always a different kind of rush to surprise your audience. So, when I was offered the role of Komolika, I instinctively knew that this is what will challenge me the most as an actor."

On being asked about comparisons with Hina, she said, "I haven’t seen the show and so, didn’t get a chance to see the way Hina portrayed it. But I have heard she was doing a commendable job."
