Chow Cute: New Dog Cafe & Daycare In Colonial Building At Seletar With Food For Hoomans
Things just got a lot more exciting at Seletar Aerospace Park, home to The Summerhouse, a perennial favourite for its romantic garden dining domes. Other than Hampstead Wetlands, a nature spot which just opened this year (which we’ve featured in our article on new attractions in 2020), it now also has a new dog cafe called Chow Cute.
Apart from being a pet-friendly establishment, Chow Cute also doubles up as a boutique doggy daycare, grooming centre and boarding house for dogs. Patrons are allowed to interact and play with these furry friends, so it’s a good place to hang out if you’re a dog lover!

Like all the cafes and restaurants at Seletar Aerospace Park, Chow Cute is also housed in a beautiful refurbished colonial building.

There are indoor seats, semi-outdoor seats, and al fresco seats under the shade of umbrellas. The interior of the cafe is largely wooden and minimalistic, with a slight Japanese MUJI-esque feel. Check out the subtle dog-themed details on the walls!

Since this is, quite naturally, a dog-friendly establishment, you are free to bring your own furbabies along for a cosy lil’ brunch date and perhaps even let them interact with other doggo visitors.

All food items on the menu are for human consumption - not for dogs! You’ll have to bring along your own treats lest your greedy little furriend decides to take a bite out of your meal while you’re not looking.

There’s a good range of finger food, croissants, and desserts here, as well as the standard selection of cafe beverages. Prices are on the steep side though, with a scoop of gelato costing $6.80, a single scone at $6.50, and Chicken Wings for $16.

For better value for money, we’d recommend opting for a Banana Cake at $8.50, which is more or less on par with dessert prices at other cafes. Other cake options include the Walnut Banana Cake ($11) and Cheese Cake ($12).

Fruit juice costs $6 per cup, as does tea, which comes in 6 flavours including Chamomile Honey & Vanilla, Earl Grey, and Lemon & Ginger.
Do note that Chow Cute's kitchen isn't a fully fledged one, so do be patient as there might be some waiting time if you're visiting during peak periods.

If you are here with active pups in tow it’ll be a good idea to go for the al fresco umbrella seats so they can run around on the grass patch at the front lawn as you munch on your food.

Don’t despair if you don’t have a dog of your own to accompany you for this cafe jaunt - you will be able to spot and say hello to the dogs who are staying at Chow Cute’s doggy daycare as they’re out on their walks! If it isn’t time for walkies and the dogs are indoors, you can also approach any of the friendly staff to make a request to play with the dogs.

Wait a minute - if these are the dogs staying at the daycare and boarding facility, that means they belong to other people. Will they be okay with strangers petting their dogs? Well, worry not, because Chow Cute would have already obtained prior permission from the dog owners to let their pets socialise with people and other dogs!

Boarding aside, Chow Cute also has dog grooming services, as well as dog training, with the option for owners to join in as well. Despite its name, this place isn't just for Chow Chows - all breeds of dogs are welcome, whether pedigree or Singapore Special!
Psst...a little birdie told us that they’ll soon be adding a dog run and pool to their premises - exciting news for those who wish to spend some quality time with their canine friends outdoors.

There’s also a cat boarding facility here, complete with staircases and snaking ladders for your feline friend to climb all over.

The closest MRT station to Chow Cute at Seletar Aerospace Park is Yishun, from which you will have to take a bus and walk a little. It’s a little out of the way for those who don’t live in the North, but the journey will all be worthwhile when you get to go crazy over tons of adorable dogs in one scenic space.
