After announcing expansion plans a few years back, Hong Kong Disneyland has finally completed renovation works for the new castle and will be opening the Castle of Magical Dreams on 21 November 2020 in celebration of its 15th anniversary.
The new castle replaces the Sleeping Beauty Castle and will feature the stories of 13 Disney princesses and queens.

The castle stands tall in all its glory, with beige, blue, bronze and gold as its main colour theme. If the pink Tokyo Disneyland Beauty and the Beast castle is described as "sweet and feminine", then the Castle of Magical Dreams definitely takes on a more sophisticated and fancy design.
To reflect the stories of the 13 princesses and queens, the towers of the castle will be illuminated with patterns and colours representing the different Disney characters that fans have come to love.

On closer inspection, it seems like the Castle of Magical Dreams is made up of some pink as well and hopefully the colour is obvious enough in real life!
Apart from admiring the beauty of the castle, visitors can also look forward to parades and performances featuring Disney characters.

While the opening of the new castle is exciting, visitors are reminded to wear a mask at all times and maintain social distancing when visiting the theme park.
Although the Singapore-Hong Kong travel bubble has not been finalised as of the time of writing, there's no harm in planning your future trip to Hong Kong. Make sure you add Hong Kong Disneyland to your itinerary and snap as many pictures with the glorious castle as the backdrop when you are there!
