There’s A Harry Potter-Themed Outdoor Detective Escape Game Happening In S'pore In Nov
Escape room games have been around for a while now, and while it’s fun solving puzzles to get out of a series of locked rooms, you’re pretty much just confined to that one area. So here’s something novel that will tickle your fancy: A magical Harry Potter-inspired murder mystery game that will be happening outdoors, on the streets of Singapore in November 2020.
Organised by geocaching game company CluedUpp Games, this murder-mystery detective game will have you cracking codes and solving clues to emerge the victor. It’s very much like an escape room game, only outdoors. And with a Witchcraft & Wizardry theme, there’s gonna be an additional magical element to it that’ll excite any Hogwarts fan.

CluedUpp is based in the UK, but thanks to the virtual nature of their gameplay which can be enjoyed via an app, they’ve been able to reach out to wannabe detectives all over the world. Finally, they’re bringing their adventures here to Singapore, with a special Witchcraft & Wizardry theme, and we couldn’t be any more stoked.

All you need to do is to form a team of detectives between 2 to 6 players, and have at least one smartphone among you as you’ll be receiving your clues and puzzles through there. Once set, you’ll be roaming around town to complete your tasks as you solve the murder mystery and come out tops against others!

There’s a time limit for an added challenge, so combine your wits and put your teamwork to the test to uncover the mystery in the fastest time possible.
You are highly encouraged to come in fancy dress to suit the Witchcraft & Wizardry theme. Time to put together a Gryffindor or Slytherin cosplay outfit, or get creative and come up with your own unique witchy getup, whether Hogwarts-inspired or not!

Embarking on the quest is already an excitement in itself, but to up the stakes, there will be prizes for the various categories below:
- Fastest team
- Best fancy dress
- Best team picture
- Best team name
- Best little detective (for kids)
- Best K-9 (for dogs) - Yes, you can feel free to let your furry friend tag along!

Each ticket costs $65 and can cover up to 6 adults, which means you’ll be paying as low as $10.80 per person should you manage to put together a sizeable squad to hit the max amount. Those under the age of 16 can play for free as extras in the group, though do note that the game is not designed for children to play on their own.
