Crazy cat lady who loves afternoon tea, kawaii Japanese fashion, and all things Sanrio.

No matter your political views, it’s hard not to be fond of people like Jamus Lim - the guy who warms the cockles of our hearts - as well as Tan Cheng Bock, everyone’s favourite Hypebeast Ah Gong. If “politician stanning” were a thing, they’re already everyone’s top picks.

From the other side of the Causeway, there’s 27-year-old Malaysian politician Syed Saddiq, who got many ladies interested in politics ~all of a sudden~ thanks to his good looks and likeable disposition. And guess what, Singaporeans: He might just be your university coursemate, as he was recently accepted into NUS Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy right here in Singapore.

Taking to Instagram to share the good news yesterday, Syed said that he had been accepted into the NUS course back in June, but had decided to keep it to himself first.

“But since classes start tomorrow online, why not share the good news with my friends,” part of his caption wrote.

Yup, unfortunately, in-person classes aren’t happening at the moment, so if you’re his coursemate, there’s only a very slim chance that you’ll get to meet him in person.

In fact, his online course, aka the Senior Fellowship in Public Service Programme, will last for only 6 weeks compared to a regular 2-year post-grad degree. It’s specially catered to senior-level leaders in public, private, and non-profit sectors - so it’s not just limited to those working for the government.

But hey, perhaps you’ll still manage to get a glimpse of his face virtually during online lessons?

Syed shares, “I had to skip my masters in Oxford Uni twice due to politics. Finally I get a chance to sharpen my Public Policy skills while serving fellow Malaysians.”

Studying at Oxford was one of his biggest goals, but NUS’ Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy is also another of his dream universities.

In August, Syed posted a photo of him eating cut fruits out of a lunchbox along with oat biscuits and a Milo bar - all while sitting in parliament. It’s just too bad that NUS students won’t get to witness this adorable sight happening in lecture theatres on campus, but his regular Instagram updates should tide you over if you’re interested in his life.

We know the question in many of your minds: Is Syed single? To our knowledge, yes, but then again, he’s always been secretive about his private life.

Earlier this year, a Valentine’s Day photo of Syed went viral as it appeared that he had a hickey or love bite on his neck ?
