#1 Stop using cold butter

Unless the recipe calls for cold or frozen butter, we recommend microwaving your butter for 10-15 seconds to bring it down to room temperature without melting it. Batters made with room temperature ingredients turn out more smooth and even.
#2 Use a sieve

Even though this step is optional if the recipe doesn't state that it's needed, it still wouldn't hurt to sift your dry ingredients such as flour, sugar and powders. This step prevents lumps from forming in your batter, making sure that it turns out smooth for the best taste and texture.
#3 Preheat the oven

Not preheating your over can result in soggy crusts or cakes that are not fully raised. Simply turn it on to the temperature stated in the recipe and wait at least 10 minutes.
For added convenience, use the PerfectBake feature on the Bosch Serie | 8 Built-in Oven which continuously monitors the temperature so you won't have to keep checking.
#4 Use silicone spatulas

Scooping wet ingredients such as batter or butter? Use a silicone spatula instead of your usual spoon! The silicone material makes sure no product is left on bowls, allowing you to make full use of each and every drop. Less wastage is the way to go when it comes to baking!
#5 Use a kitchen scale

Did you know a cup of flour weighs anything between 4-6 ounces? That could create a lot of inconsistencies in your recipes. Sometimes, too much or too little can make or break your end product. Precision is key so use a kitchen scale to measure your ingredients, making the baking process faster and easier.
This digital kitchen scale is easy to use and has a high-precision sensor.
#6 Don't over mix your batter

When you over mix batter, the gluten in flour can form elastic gluten strands, resulting in a dense and chewy texture. Unless that is what you are going for (works for cookies but not so much for cakes), we recommend mixing your batter with care and stopping once all ingredients are combined evenly together.
#7 Butter your tins and trays before lining with parchment paper

Do you find your parchment paper never stay in place whenever you use them to line cake tins or baking trays? Resolve this problem with one extra and easy step - applying a small amount of butter on your tins and trays. The butter acts as 'glue' for you to stick the parchment paper to the cake tins and baking trays. Easy peasy!
