Brushing teeth with baking soda is more effective than just brushing with normal toothpaste. Baking soda has natural whitening properties, which is why it's a popular ingredient in toothpaste. It does not whiten your teeth overnight but over time you will start to notice the difference. Add this to your routine if you want brighter and cleaner teeth!

#2 Use apple cider vinegar

It works wonder and is used as a disinfectant and natural cleaning product that we are all familiar with. Acetic acid, which is the main active ingredient in apple cider vinegar, kills bacteria, and whitens your teeth over time. You can also use it as a mouthwash by diluting it with water and swish it around in your mouth for several minutes. Remember to rinse your mouth with plain water afterward.  However, do take note that the acetic acid in vinegar can erode the enamel on your teeth, hence you shouldn't be using this daily.

#3 Brush and floss your teeth daily

Brushing and flossing your teeth daily will keep you from visiting the dentist, which is what most of us absolutely hate. Regularly brushing and flossing can help your teeth stay white by reducing bacteria in your mouth and preventing plaque buildup. Remember to book your dental appointment for your monthly teeth cleaning too!

#4 Rub lemon, orange or banana peels on your teeth

The compound and citric acid in lemon, orange, or banana peels will make your teeth whiter. Gently rub the fruit peels on your teeth for about 3 minutes. Thoroughly rinse your mouth and brush your teeth afterward. Try this out and let us know how effective it is!

If you love eating coconut or drinking coconut water, you will love the next thing that I'm about to tell you. Coconut oil pulling helps to remove plaque and bacteria from the mouth, which helps to whiten teeth. Add 2 teaspoons of liquid coconut oil your mouth for 30 minutes. Do not swallow the oil or let it touch the back of your throat as it contains bacteria from your mouth. Do this step daily and soon you will be able to see the results.
