New Sanrio Sweets In Japanese Convenience Stores
Lawson, a convenience store chain in Japan, has released adorable new sweets in collaboration with Sanrio! ?

First is the Hello Kitty wagashi (¥280, ~S$3.49) are made of nerikiri, a type of traditional Japanese sweet created with a white bean paste and mochi dough. In a special 2020 edition, Hello Kitty is dressed like a rat and the filling inside is cheese-flavoured!

Next is the Cinnamoroll wagashi (¥280, ~S$3.49) with a milk-flavoured filling.

Pompompurin is another character made into a convenience store wagashi (¥280, ~S$3.49). As expected, his filling is pudding flavoured!

Another Lawson-exclusive treat is the Mochi Mochi Pompompurin Yaki (¥158, ~S$1.97), a cute and chewy sweet filled with cream flavoured to taste like purin, also known as Japanese custard pudding. It's shaped just like Pompompurin in his adorable sleeping form.
You can find them in Lawson stores across Japan except for Lawson Store 100 branches. These sweets won't be restocked once they are sold out, so head to a Lawson store near you while you're in Japan or get a friend who is travelling there to bring them back to Singapore for you!
