Glass skin is highly coveted by ladies because of how good it looks. However, that natural glow and smooth skin look is not easy to achieve unless you have really healthy skin and go for facial treatments often.

While it's difficult to get glass skin, you can always use skincare and makeup products to create the illusion of supple, dewy skin!

#1 Use a moisturiser

Before putting any makeup on, make sure you apply a moisturiser that provides intense hydration. Having dry skin is the first thing that will affect whether you can achieve glass skin or not.

Using a moisturiser also acts as a protective barrier for your skin, so that makeup cannot penetrate your pores deeply and cause pimples.

#2 Use a sheer foundation

When choosing a foundation, choose a sheer one that will give you the most natural coverage. Such foundations will usually give you a glowing sheen which will give the illusion of glass skin.

If you require a bit more coverage, simply layer the foundation bit by bit to keep it as natural-looking as possible.

#3 Use a damp sponge

The best way to achieve a glass skin look is to use a damp beauty sponge when applying your foundation. You can wet it using water or a face mist.

A damp sponge will prevent it from soaking up your foundation and give your skin a healthy glow.

#4 Mix moisturiser with foundation (if you have very dry skin)

For those with extremely dry skin, you can try mixing one part moisturiser with two parts foundation so that it's extra hydrating. The moisturiser will smooth out any dry skin and the foundation will hide any imperfections.

If you have oily skin, you can just use your foundation normally.

#5 Powder the right areas

Although glass skin is associated with dewiness, glow and shine, you want to make sure that only the right areas of your face are glowing.

You will still have to powder your face slightly so that your makeup stays in place but use the powder sparingly. Start from your T-zone down to your inner cheeks and chin if those are the areas that tend to produce more oil.

Keep your cheekbones and brow bone area powder-free so that when sunlight hits your face, your cheekbones will glow beautifully!

#6 Use a cream blusher and highlighter

Instead of using a powder blushers and highlighters that will take away your skin's natural glow, use cream versions to amplify the dewy look.

Use the blusher on the apples of your cheeks extending upwards following the contours of your cheekbones. Apply the highlighter on the high points of your cheeks and nose, brow bone and cupid's bow.

#7 Use a glossy lipstick

This has nothing to do with your skin but for the ultimate glass skin look, pair those tips above with a glossy lip.

You can continue using your usual matte lipstick but apply a layer of gloss over it or simply use a glossy lipstick or tint. This will make your entire appearance glow literally!

#8 Use a dewy finish setting spray

Lastly, make all your efforts last by spritzing a dewy finish setting spray to keep your makeup intact and glowing at the same time.
