Chanel's Newest: Le Rouge Allure Liquid Powder- Can You Find Your Perfect Shade Of Red?

The ladies' rule of thumb: Warm on warm skin tones. Cool on cool skin tones. If your veins are more greenish, you have warm undertones. If your veins are more bluish, you have cool undertones. The best bet to which shade of red suits you most is to try them on and experiment with it. Lipsticks are for battles, pick the right one.

If you're a fan of lipsticks and you wonder what's the difference between Chanel Rouge Allure and Chanel Rouge Coco Shine? The first promises a luminous intense lip colour while the latter is a line of less intense lip colours with the primary purpose of delivering a hydrating experience for all.

We don't usually recommend matte lipsticks for people with drier lips but this range from Chanel seems promising as it contains a combination of softening oils.

*THE NEW* Chanel Rouge Allure Liquid Powder. Basically, a liquid matte lip colour with powder effect.

In Singapore, during the Chanel Le Rouge Pop-Up event, we spotted 5 shades of this "liquid powder". One highlight of this new lippie is the golden metal plate with Chanel logo on it.

A unique sponge applicator that glides onto your lips for the complete seamless coverage.

We tried them on and here goes!
Expect: A light-to-intense coverage with a softly blurred matte finish.

1. Shade 950- PLAISIR (English: "Pleasure")
A light buildable coral pink lippie. This colour leans more towards the pinkish and orangey. The best for what we call a 'Korean' sweetie look.

2. Shade 952 -Évocation (English: "Evocation")
A colour meant for all. This colour is similar to the above shade 950 but it is more of a plum pink, a duller tone than a happy orange tone. Practically speaking, this shade is more apt for work as it conveys a more serious down-to-earth mood.

3. Shade 956 - Invincible
A cherry red, best paired with dark hair colour. A very sweet but at the same time sensual colour. It conveys a blend of playful sexiness.

4. Shade 958- VOLUPTÉ (English: "Sensuous")
A matte hot pink lippie in a tube is what it is. This colour is bold and dramatic altogether. If you're all for the bold, the pink and the matte, this is a must-buy. If you love the western style makeup, you will love this tube.

5. Shade 960- Avant-Gardiste (Avant Garde Design)
The colour is the best for all (especially cool tones babes ). It may seems to be extra dark and bold but it is not. This is perhaps the most versatile red you'll find. You can apply a light layer for an everyday Chanel's dignified look. This colour also flows well with almost anything you wear.

Honestly, the applicator will take some getting use to. But when you grow comfortable with it. You'll realise how buildable this liquid powder is for matte lip lovers.
