Keum Eun Don KBBQ, The "Restaurant Idols Dine In", Opens Its First Outlet In Singapore
Just like us, idols need their KBBQ cravings satiated every now and then, and there's one restaurant they go to for their meat fix - it's Keum Eun Don. Celebrities like ENHYPEN members, LE SSERAFIM's Kazuha, and actress Kang So-ra have been spotted dining here, so much so that it's now coined 'the restaurant idols go to'.
Born in Yongsan beside HYBE's global headquarters, Keum Eun Don has been serving up its specialty, aged Iberico pork, for over 10 years. Now, it has opened its first and only overseas outpost in Singapore at HillV2.
Fun fact: Keum Eun Don translates to "gold silver bronze", where don also means pork in Korean, putting their prized meat on the same podium as precious metals.

Keum Eun Don's pork belly and pork collar undergo a two-stage ageing process: wet ageing first, followed by a full day of dry ageing. This gives the meat a deeper flavour and a more tender texture.
All meats are prepared with a light charcoal aroma infusion in the kitchen before it's served, so diners can decide their own level of doneness while always enjoying that smoky goodness.

All banchan (except kimchi) and dipping sauces are made in-house. There are also unique options like wasabi salt that pairs well with fattier cuts, and red wine salt which has a fruity aftertaste.

For meats, a must-try is the well-marbled Pork Collar ($27 for 150g), tender and flavourful chunks of pork. A few pieces that we accidentally overcooked were still juicy! Don't forget that coveted strip of meat on the bone; the staff will help cut it up and grill it if requested.

The Pork Belly ($26 for 180g) is also plenty satisfying. It comes in thick slices with the perfect ratio of fat and lean meat.

If you're more of a beef person, try the Prime Beef Short Ribs ($79, including bone). Developed specially for the Singapore market, this short rib has the same rich, aged flavour without any gaminess.

Complete your meal with some quintessential sides like Steamed Egg ($10). Keum Eun Don's rendition has a denser texture, similar to scrambled eggs, that's silky, smooth and subtly sweet.

Keum Eun Don KBBQ also offers Weekday Lunch Sets ($26) that comes with 120g of Beef Bulgogi and a choice of stew like Soft Tofu Stew with Seafood ($16, a la carte).

First-timers can go for the sets for 2 to 4 diners that offer a variety of different meats like the Eun Set ($145), best for 2 pax, that comes with three meats, a stew and a drink.
If you're in the area and crave some idol-approved KBBQ, you know where to go!
