Yeah, there's a yellow NYC taxi stuck in the ceiling of this restaurant. But you know what else is stuck? Our minds — on the vibrant and quintessentially New York-style woodfire menu at The Coach Restaurant! This new addition to Jewel Changi's already stellar lineup of gastronomic offerings is one of, if not the most, anticipated food launches of the month (and November is just beginning).

Those who have been following Coach's forays into the culinary world — The Coach Bar and The Coach Coffee Shop both springing into existence this year — will know to expect nods to the fashion house's American roots and nothing short of an impressive steakhouse selection.

So it's with great satisfaction that we can now say: 10/10 would come again, this diner is certainly worth the hype. Read on to see the 10 dishes that now live in our minds rent-free:

1. Black and White Bagel ($18)

Taking inspiration from the black-and-white cookies found all over NYC, these cream cheese and caviar-loaded bagels are the great flavour bomb to start your meal with.

2. Classic Steak Tartare ($28)

Like your steak on the rare side? Pick the classic steak tartare for a well-balanced mix of flavours and textures. Finely chopped beef tenderloin meets fresh egg yolk — just scoop it all up with a piece of toast for the perfect bite!

3. Japanese Yellowfin Tuna Tartare ($28)

It's official: we fell head-over-heels in love with this one (it had us scraping our plates…) If you're a fan of sashimi or raw seafood in general, don't miss this masterpiece made of diced yellowfin, avocado and crispy potato chips.

4. Maryland Crab Cake ($30)

Prefer your seafood a little more on the cooked side? This crab cake dish is moist, well-seasoned and made with fresh blue swimmer crab. Plus, the housemade tartare sauce and fresh lemon really jazzes it up and gives it that special oomph.

5. The NY Slice ($9)

Who could pass up on a good slice of NY pizza? Thin-crust, satisfyingly gooey, cheesy and hot off the oven, these NY slices are simple but hearty, topped with classic tomato and mozzarella.

6. The Chicken Bucket ($28)

Since the drumstick is the best part of the chicken (we don't make the rules), this chicken bucket gets straight to the point and includes only a selection of juicy chicken drumsticks. It's perfect for sharing, and you can customise every bite with various sauces made in-house.

Just beware the hot sauce, it actually has a spicy kick! P.S. Our fave was the hot honey — sweet, tangy and just the right amount of heat.

7. Maine Lobster ($95)

As a major seafood lover, this lobster dish was an instant fave. Juicy, buttery, and most importantly — super easy to crack open and tuck into. I barely even had to get my hands dirty!

8. USDA Prime Black Angus Rib-Eye 250g ($90)

Meat one of the juiciest steaks out there! Each serving of this absolute unit of rib-eye comes with roasted garlic, a selection of condiments: A.1., béarnaise, 3-pepper spice, and a helping of butter shaped in Coach’s Signature “C”.

9. 20 Layer Chocolate Cake ($18)

Now here's a dessert worth saving your stomach space for. Its name says it all: this delightfully fudgy, sinful, melt-in-your-mouth creation will have you digging in faster than you can say '20-layer chocolate cake'!

10. Flaming PB&J Bombe Alaska ($18)

Lovers of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cannot miss this unique creation. The whole dessert is assembled, with meringue painstakingly piped on by hand, then gently torched tableside.
