Joining Keaton are returning stars Winona Ryder as Lydia and Catherine O'Hara as Delia Deetz. Additionally, Jenna Ortega, known for her role in Burton's Netflix hit Wednesday, portrays Lydia's daughter, Astrid, while Justin Theroux, recognised for his work in The Leftovers, takes on the role of Rory. Check out the teaser trailer here:

The teaser trailer opens with Day-O (The Banana Boat Song), a children's choir sets the scene as three generations of the Deetz family – grandmother Delia, mom Lydia, and granddaughter Astrid – gather at an undisclosed funeral. Despite the mournful occasion, Astrid sneaks off to explore the family attic. There, she discovers a miniature model of Winter River, where Beetlejuice was once confined until someone mistakenly said his name three times.

Sure enough, it seems history repeats itself. Lydia arrives in the attic just in time to witness the model collapse, revealing Beetlejuice standing tall amidst the wreckage. With arms open wide, he announces, “The juice is loose!”

Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe have also joined the cast. Dafoe, known for his role as Green Goblin in Spiderman, revealed to an American tabloid in November last year that he will portray a police officer and a former movie action star in the afterlife.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is set to hit the screens on 6 September after a long wait. The first film, released in 1988, is still a favourite comedy-horror classic that people love. It even won an Oscar for its makeup and garnered $80 million on a $15 million budget.
