Has severe RBF but is fairly jolly and carefree on the inside. Degree of life satisfaction is heavily influenced by food.

There are beauty pop-ups aplenty in Singapore, but none of them are quite as breathtakingly immersive as L'OCCITANE's new, largest and most thematic pop-up to date - L'OCCITANE Hotel.

With an entrance fashioned like a luxurious hotel lobby at Raffles City, the French luxury brand's grand pop-up houses five different zones depicting scenes from nature spots in France. Visitors will "travel" and learn more about L'OCCITANE's products and sustainability efforts through stunning interactive projections, Instagrammable installations and complimentary beauty consultations.

After checking in to the "hotel" on our phones, we customised our own digital signboards and digitally planted almond trees before heading into the first zone to see the virtual fruits, or rather, nuts, of our labour.

Almond Forest

Our journey began in the Almond Forest zone, a large room covered in a projection of a fairytale-like forest in Valensole, where L'OCCITANE grows the almonds used in their best- selling Almond body care range.

We needed a few minutes to take in the visually stunning sights and calming sound effects, which reminded us of the Future World exhibition at ArtScience Museum. Feeling thoroughly impressed, I looked for my own "tree" labelled with my name and was prompted to try out the interactive screen.

With a tap of the hand, my seedling instantly sprouted into a small plant before growing rapidly into a large almond tree, all while accompanied with Disney soundtrack-esque music. Another tap triggered more music and made my tree blossom with gorgeous pink flowers - a fine, main-character-moment experience!

At the corner of the room was a projection of adorable little woodland creatures hard at work in the factory, using the almonds from our "trees" to make the L'OCCITANE Shower Oil.

Almond Spa

Next, we stepped into the en-suite Almond Spa zone to try out L'OCCITANE’s bestselling Almond products including the Shower Oil, Milk Concentrate and Delicious Hand Cream.

At the corner are two photo spots with an idyllic cottagecore aesthetic. Relax on a bench in the fields, or imagine yourself taking a bath out in the open nature!

5 Essential Oils Bar

After getting our hands pampered with oils and creams, it was time to give our hair some TLC at the 5 Essential Oils Bar.

I settled in the chairs for a bespoke hair care consultation, where the hair care mixologist took a scan of my scalp to access my hair issues and guided me while I tried out the L'OCCITANE hair care products. She also recommended hair care routine products based on my scalp and hair’s needs.

Immortelle Field

Finally, we headed into the most anticipated part of the pop-up, the gorgeous Immortelle Field zone that uses disc installations, mirrors and projections to create an illusion that we were standing in an endless Immortelle Flower Field in Corsica.

We gazed in awe as the projections started from bright yellow lights reminiscent of hot summers, before fading into a dark and soothing dreamscape with rain effects like winter.

The eponymous flower of this zone, the Immortelle flower, is used to create L'OCCITANE's bestselling skincare range, Immortelle Reset and Divine.

P.S. if this you like the idea of this flower field, check out the Van Gogh exhibition in Singapore.

Immortelle Suite

At the end of the field is the Immortelle Suite that's fashioned to look like a hotel room with decorations made of upcycled L'OCCITANE bottles. We got to see the immortal flower up close and try out the products from the Immortelle skincare range.

Gift Shop

The final stop is the Gift Shop, where visitors can purchase any of the products they experienced during their journey along with the newly launched Lavender Blanche fragrance range.
