Mighty Jaxx Launches A New Chocolate-Themed Kandy x Sanrio Ft. Jason Freeny Blind Box Collection

American sculptor Jason Freeny's signature partially dissected sculpture style is now iconic in the art toy world and instantly recognisable even to the most casual toy collectors. These figures have one vertical half of their bodies flayed with their bones and anatomy on full display. This fascinating and grim design makes for an unexpectedly perfect pairing with the adorable Sanrio characters!

After the first Kandy x Sanrio series sculpted by Jason Freeny, Mighty Jaxx is back with a second instalment - the Kandy x Sanrio ft. Jason Freeny Series 02 (Choco Edition).

The collection reimagines seven Sanrio characters as sweet treats that look good enough to eat! The 4-inch vinyl figurines are split into halves, with one side looking like chocolate and the other with a see-through candy-like effect. Each figure comes with a stand that looks like a piece of heart-shaped chocolate with two little bon bons at the side.

Each character design corresponds to a chocolate "flavour" that's inspired by their colour theme! Hello Kitty takes on the form of raspberry chocolate, while Bad-Badtz Maru is a cookies and cream chocolate and Kuromi is a blueberry-flavoured chocolate.

This series' ultra rare piece is My Melody, a strawberry milk-flavoured treat with a glittery dissected half.

The Kandy x Sanrio ft. Jason Freeny Series 02 (Choco Edition) blind boxes are now available at mightyjaxx.com for S$18.90 per box and S$113.40 for a tray of 6. They will soon be retailing at ActionCity, TANGS, Takashimaya, Isetan, Popular and Times.
