Has severe RBF but is fairly jolly and carefree on the inside. Degree of life satisfaction is heavily influenced by food.

Watched the film Avatar and wondered what it would be like to wander through Pandora? You now have the chance to at Avatar: The Experience, an immersive walkthrough attraction at Gardens by the Bay that has bought that magical world to life.

The Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay has been transformed into Pandora, the lush paradise inhabited by the Na'vi in the Avatar films, with bioluminescent environments, gigantic mystical creatures and futuristic technology - all reflecting themes of connection and transformation.

There are also interactive elements like the Sacred Space where visitors feel a sense of connection with the environment much like how the Na'vi and everything on Pandora are connected. Hover your hand over the left lichen plant to activate the connective energy and watch as it lights up in a bioluminescent glow which spreads through the foliage wall above.

Other fun interaction zones let visitors create an Avatar version of themselves, play with shadows and effects, and experience "flying" on a banshee.

The highlight of our visit was the giant animatronic Mountain Banshee which looked incredibly realistic as it turned its head and flapped its wing with such fluid, natural movements, and appeared to blink and look directly at us.

In a mini show, staff members appeared as employees of the fictional Pandoran Research Foundation (PRF) from the film to share more about the Banshee. A baby Banshee made an appearance and the Banshee mum would croon in reply when the baby was brought up close.

Visitors will also get a first look at an artistic representation of the Ilu, a new marine creature from the upcoming film Avatar: The Way of Water.

Finally, you'll reach the magical illuminated Encounter with Eywa zone where you'll pass through an alley of illuminated branches from the Tree of Souls.

Past that is a massive multimedia show with an interactive floor reminiscent of the new galleries in Future World at ArtScience Museum. Walk through it an watch specks of light disperse or beams trailing from your feet.

While our daytime walkthrough was a visual feast, we recommend visiting at night or dusk as the place would look absolutely gorgeous with colourful lights in the dark.
