A natural progression of Harry Styles’ long standing creative relationship with Alessandro Michele and the Italian luxury fashion house, the Gucci “HA HA HA” collection is all things witty and playful.

Despite the funny name, the collaboration’s no joke—”H” and “A” simply fuses Styles’ and Michele’s initials, a nod to the light-hearted friendship between the two. It’s been said that the pair often ended their text messages with “hahaha.” According to Gucci, “the range is playful, liberating and designed to act as a herald of new visions of beauty.”

The collaboration kickstarted while the two were speaking on the phone. Michele had proposed creating a “dream wardrobe” with him, starting from those small oddities that come together in childlike visions.

He said: "We ended up with a mix of aesthetics from 1970s pop and bohemian to the revision of the image of the gentleman in an overturned memory of men’s tailoring.”

What you get is a seamless merge of Gucci’s historied aesthetic and Styles’ playful vision, with an unmistakable dash of dapper. There’s animal-print motifs, sweater vests, flared pants, and even friendship necklaces featuring an “angry teddy bear.”

Inspired by Styles’ soft boy aesthetic, the collection includes pajamas and suits covered in hearts, frogs, fluffy sheep, and cherries. The pieces are unisex, making them perfect for stylish couples who’re looking to match in a subtle manner.

The pieces are also a throwback to the tailoring styles of 1970s England, with patchwork leather jackets, checked trousers, and caps in the mix. With the "As It Was" singer as Gucci’s muse, one can expect novel silhouettes and designs that appeal to both the Gen-Z and the Millennials.

While there's no release date yet, the collection is expected to be in stores this October.
