The New CHARLES & KEITH x Coco Capitán Capsule Collection In Singapore Features Whimsical Art On Bags & Shoes
The fashion world, from high end designers to fast fashion labels, has often taken inspiration from art. Take the UNIQLO X Louvre Museum collection from last year. This time, the art and fashion worlds collide in the CHARLES & KEITH x Coco Capitán capsule collection.
Renowned for her poetic musings and artwork, the Spanish-born artist has created art that has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the world. Her collaboration with CHARLES & KEITH features two pieces, a bag and a pair of shoes, in androgynous and structured silhouettes and covered with her art. The brand's usual san-serif logo has also been given a Capitán-style treatment with her signature handwriting.

Inspired by the childlike innocence of the game "He loves me, he loves me not," the Perline Penny Loafers ($139) has blue daisies stitched on classic black loafers alongside Capitán's handwritten prose, "Loves Me Blue, Love Me Blue Not."

The charming daisies also cover one side of the Double Handle Sculptural Tote Bag ($109), and on the other side is a short poem telling a hopeful tale of a solitary blue flower blooming through concrete.

Notice the uneven stitching of the daisies and letters. This is a deliberate choice to give the wearer of the shoes and a bags the feeling of owning a personalised piece.
This collection will be available from 13 July 2022 at selected CHARLES & KEITH boutiques and online at charleskeith.com.
