This is Caila, his wife and his main motivation for the drastic weight loss. She was completely fine about marrying John even when he was obese and weighed 250kg. They know each other since they were 12 and were childhood sweethearts.

It's always difficult to deal with any sickness in the family, let alone when a loved one passed away. Thankfully, Caila was by John's side all the while. He said, "Although Caila loved me as much as I, she was willing to marry me with 245kg, so I thought, I cannot pull that woman with a clear conscience through the difficulties I have to go through the rest of my life if I do not lose weight. The 5 Things He (And Others) Did
John started his weight loss journey by juicing, trying to eat better and walking at least 3-4 days a week. Shortly, he dropped almost 10 kilograms and that motivated him -because he had hope.
1. He signed up for a rapid weight loss program at a gym.
It was also his determination, his willpower to carry him through the entire weight loss process. After a year, he is still doing it. You have to exercise to get to your desired weight.
"I remember the first week when my armpits disappeared, I still could feel it. For example, when i move my arms, my brain feels the skin is still there. I need to check it or like my wife said ,she still catches me adjusting when there's nothing to change. So I just said to my wife the other day how I can bend over to tie my shoelaces without thinking about it now – without finding a place to sit or having to bend my feet up high enough. "
2. He threw away all his junk food and said no to preserved food like hot dogs, luncheon meats and in Asian culture, also instant noodles. (P.s when you think it's hard, think of how you will look in 2 months time if you just skipped the chips. It's chips or flat belly) Think of these and set as your #motivational wallpaper.

3. He cuts down on sugar massively
This means Americano instead of Mocha Frappuccino. This means Kopi O Kosong instead of Kopi. Of course, no more coke, sprite, milo and ice lemon tea! In fact, after 2 weeks of this cruelty to self, you will drastically lose inches off your waistline. This is the fastest way!

4. Split into 6 small meals instead of 3 big meals
If you eat at a consistent timing and increase the number of meals per day, your metabolism will pick up throughout the day. If you struggle with metabolism, you feel bloated, try this method!
5. A supportive partner
Amidst all the practical how-tos, support on an emotional, mental and physical level plays a big part to help a guy in the ultimate weight loss. If he loses all his love handles, imagine how suave and handsome your boy will be!

A person's willpower and determination will get you through every tough and impossible situation. If your BMI is above 25, you're overweight. If your BMI is above 30, you're obese. But you have a fighting chance to make it back like John. Jiayou!!
