Inside Homegrown Beauty Brand ByCaxs’ All-Pink Doll Parlour: Coloured Lenses, False Lashes & Glittery Makeup
Beauty trends may come and go but for ladies who’re unapologetic about their love for all things sweet and girly, doll-like looks are here to stay. Meet byCaxs, a homegrown beauty brand that’s quietly captured the hearts and minds of beauty fanatics since 2017.

The brainchild of local beauty influencer Cassandra Tan, who’s a makeup maven with more than 41,000 followers on Instagram, the brand offers an array of beauty products including false lashes, contact lenses, as well as makeup. If you’re used to stocking up on contact lenses at the optometrist’s, you might be surprised to see that byCaxs’ brick-and-mortar stores, aptly called Doll Parlours, feature hot pink interiors and a sign flanked by broadway-style light bulbs. Don’t let the bold and eye-catching interiors faze you though, the company’s wide range of contact lenses are certified by the Health Sciences Authority and safe for use.

Fuschia-hued shelves are filled with the brand’s signature products, packaged in all shades of pink and accompanied by displays of their campaign lookbooks—mostly modeled by the founder herself. You’ll find the brand’s debut collection of dramatic mink and real hair lashes, alongside its more recent range of Petty and Baby lashes, which suit a natural makeup look.
As somebody who generally prefers the convenience of eyelash extensions over falsies, I found myself enjoying byCaxs’ lashes after using the brand’s Stuck On You lash adhesive eyeliner, available both in black and clear. Doubling as both lash adhesive and eyeliner, the product keeps the falsies secure on the lash line even in Singapore’s humidity. It was also a breeze to draw the eyeliner in a single stroke.

Meanwhile, the brand’s contact lenses come in both monthlies and dailies, with the former featuring more striking tones like Lunar Sky, a pale blue hue, as well as Pure Stone, a light grey-green hue. I fancied the dailies, which came in four highly wearable shades including Everyday Latte in a soft brown hue and Pink Wednesdays (get the Mean Girls reference?) in a subtle pink hue.
The daily disposable lenses were pleasantly comfortable for all-day wear, thanks to their 58 percent water content. Though for those with dry eyes, it’s recommended that you use contact-lens compatible eye drops whenever necessary. Optometrists, dressed in pink, obviously, are on hand to help you find the perfect fit.
