New My Little Pony Cafe Opening In Singapore This March With "Magical Cuteness"-Themed Decor & Food
After successful consecutive runs of Rilakkuma, Sumikko Gurashi, and Hello Kitty concepts, Kumoya Singapore at Orchard Central is now ready for its next transformation - and it’s gonna be a magical one themed after the world of Equestria. Yes, bronies, it’s your time to shine now, for Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash and co. will be making their appearances at this My Little Pony Magical Cuteness pop-up cafe opening this March 2022.

While this is not the maiden My Little Pony pop-up Kumoya Singapore has done, it’s the first one being held at their Somerset outlet. As with past pop-ups, the interiors of the Japanese-inspired cafe will be decked out top to bottom in character-themed decor - from the tables to the walls and seat dividers.

There’s also that coveted private tatami room, which you can try to request for if you’re celebrating a special occasion, or just because (subject to availability).

There are 5 mains, 6 snacks, 3 desserts, and 11 drinks as part of the limited-time menu, again created in collaboration with Shirley Wong aka Little Miss Bento. Mains include the Magic Potion Karaage Chicken With Beetroot Cream Rice ($26.90) with pretty pink sauce, and Let's Soar! Pomodoro Pasta With Grilled Salmon ($25.90).

Vegetarians aren’t left out either, with The Dashing Magical Rainbow Dash Impossible Plant Based Burger ($27.90) which comes with a pair of wings attached to the rainbow-printed burger bun.

If your squad has 3 or more members, we suggest ordering one of each of the 3 desserts to share for the best variety. Enticingly sinful is the You Are Magical! Churros Chocolate Fondue Set ($25.90), which comes with colourful marshmallows, cotton candy “clouds”, and rainbow sprinkles for extra visual appeal - and extra sweetness.

There’s also the Just Apple Applejack Housemade Apple Tart ($22.90), an ode to the Earth Pony who’s a skilled baker and lives in an apple orchard. Topping the buttery tart are heart-shaped sprinkles, an Applejack butter cookie, and mini mousse shaped like a real apple!

If you’re here for the ‘gram, go straight for the We Are Magic Together Rainbow Parfait ($20.90), which comes with magical mist swirling out from the fluffy cotton candy clouds.

You’ll be spoiled for choice with the whopping 11 My Little Pony-themed drinks, each of which entitles you to a free limited edition cafe-exclusive character coaster (designs given out at random. We already see the candy floss-topped Rainbow Dash Bubble Gum Soda ($13.90) being a bit hit!

Other over-the-top beverages here include the Momo Galaxy Soda ($13.90) and Lychee Yuzu Galaxy Soda ($13.90), both emanating ethereal mist and containing an infusion of fruit juice with butterfly pea flower tea.

Those who are health-conscious can go for the Assorted Hot Tea ($11.90) in flavours like Jasmine, Oolong, Earl Grey, Lychee, and Berries. This is served with complimentary madeleines on the side, which we must say is a pretty good deal. After all, who doesn’t love a little freebie?

The My Little Pony Magical Cuteness pop-up cafe will be open at Kumoya Orchard from 24 March 2022 for a limited period of time only. Judging from the time spans of the previous semi-permanent themed dining experiences here, we’re guessing that this MLP theme will be up for around 6 months or so.
Walk-ins are welcome but we’d advise you to secure a seat by making an online reservation.
