New Sakura Afternoon Tea In Singapore: Pretty Pink Sweet & Savoury Treats Inspired By Cherry Blossoms
March means the beginnings of Spring in other countries, and while we don’t have that in summery Singapore, we do get to enjoy cooler weather, the blooming of trumpet flowers, and a slew of sakura-themed experiences. Other than a sakura onsen & themed cafe, there’s currently also an indulgent sakura afternoon tea experience that allows us to enjoy those charming “Japan in Singapore” vibes for a limited period of time.

This set is one that will delight those with sweet tooths, for there are only 3 savoury items included: Beef Sando awith Katsu Bechamel, Japanese Omelette with Ikura, and Surimi Sandwich Mayo and Tobiko Egg.

The sweet items are all in pretty shades of pink - many of which are either shaped like sakura blooms, or come adorned with sugar cherry blossoms for an extra romantic touch. The Sakura Strawberry Verrine even includes an actual sakura flower within the top jelly layer! Other items include the Red Bean Sakura Ice Cream Monaka and Sakura Tea Cake, among others.

Of course, the original and raisin scones served with clotted cream and strawberry rose jam have not been forgotten. Wash everything down with your choice of Mariage Frères tea, or coffee made from Raffles custom blended coffee beans.
