New Hello Kitty Mini Shabu Shabu Pop-Up Cafe In Singapore Has 10 Soup Bases, Over 50 Ingredients, Desserts & More
Just as we thought that Kumoya was at its peak with the butt-filled Crayon Shin-Chan cafe and ridiculously cute Sumikkogurashi cafe, they've one upped themselves with a new Hello Kitty-themed mini hotpot cafe with decor and food art that will bring back memories of your holidays in Japan.

Opening its doors on 1 September, the upcoming Hello Kitty Mini Shabu Shabu pop-up restaurant at Kumoya @ Orchard Central is a kawaii experience on steroids.
Lounging in the cafe, you'll be transported into a cute, Hello Kitty-fied Japan. Decorating the interior are colourful Japanese motifs from kimono prints and lanterns to Mount Fuji, with splashes of Hello Kitty faces. Look out for the localised touches like Hello Kitty hugging a baby Merlion!

The cuteness only intensifies when you get to the food. The menu has an extensive variety of Hello Kitty-themed hot pot ingredients as well as sides, desserts and drinks.
There are a whopping 10 soup bases to choose from including Chicken Beauty Collagen, Fresh Garden Tomato, Szechuan Mala, Sawadee Tom Yum and Very Vegetarian Soup. There's also a wide variety of meat and seafood like Premium Beef Short Rib Boneless ($33.90), Chicken Breast Fillet ($25.90) and Salmon Fillet ($28.90).
Everything is Hello Kitty-themed from the shabu shabu pot to the rice and pink beetroot noodles.

Get a Mini Shabu Shabu set (from $24.90) which comes with one soup base, one mixed vegetables pot, one meat, seafood or vegetarian dish, one rice or beetroot noodle and one dipping sauce. To make it a real feast, you can add on familiar hotpot ingredients that have also gotten a Hello Kitty makeover.

Save some space for dessert as the Kumoya team and Shirley Wong (@littlemissbento) have also created three too-cute-to-eat treats: Hello Kitty Apple Mousse Cake ($12.90), Strawberry Pudding ($11.90) and Strawberry Swiss Roll ($11.90). You can top up just $8.90 for any dessert with every order of the Mini Shabu Shabu Set.

All drinks ($11.90 - $13.90) come with a free cafe exclusive Hello Kitty coaster with a random design, while stocks last.

The menu contains no pork, lard or alcohol and is prepared by a team of Muslim staff. All ingredients are also sourced from major Halal distributors and suppliers.
There are limited seats available for walk-in so it's best to make a reservation here.
