Gorgeous Actress Jamie Chung Calls ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Casting Of Henry Golding ‘Bullsh*t’
The Korean-American actress, who played Mulan in ABC's "Once Upon a Time", described how casting directors of the show specifically wanted someone who was ethnically Chinese to be casted for the roles in "Crazy Rich Asians".

Earlier this year, Chung told CBS News how much she wanted to get a role in the upcoming film, but acknowledged that she was not able to, because they wanted "someone who's ethnically Chinese."
"You have actors who can play Australian, British, Irish, but Asian, it is very specific. It is a double-edged sword. I really, really wanted a role in "Crazy Rich Asians," but they wanted someone who is ethnically Chinese. I love Jon (director of "Crazy Rich Asians"), but I get they wanted Chinese actors," Chung said.

But when she learned that Henry Golding, which has recently started filming, was half-white, Chung became perplexed and expressed her disappointment. She ranted about how hypocritical it was on Twitter. She questioned the credibility of the entire casting process.

"What? Are you serious?" was her response
She then called the casting choice 'bullsh*t'.'
"OK. I'm going to say it. That is some bulls**t. Where do you draw the line to be ethnically conscious? But there's so many loopholes so I kind of get screwed. I don't mean to sound jaded. There are plenty of roles for me."

Netizens lashed back and she was forced to clarify her comments.
She thereafter expressed her intentions to apologise to Golding in person.
She tagged Golding in her tweets
"I should have apologized to you first. But was hoping I would have the opportunity to do it in person."
Golding, who said he felt like being "stabbed in the back" with all this backlash and negativity, responded amicably to Chung and therefore preventing a potential disaster/uproar.
He told her that it was alright and not to worry. He said it was just a misunderstanding and there were no hard feelings.
