It’s been a year and a half since wearing masks outside of one’s home became a must by law. You’d think that we’ve gotten used to it by now, but with the heat and humidity, being out and about while having our faces covered can get rather suffocating.

The new Philips Fresh Air Mask helps make breathing a little easier with its in-built fan system, which helps reduce heat and improve ventilation while filtering out harmful bacteria and providing UV protection.

Read on to find out more about the Philips Fresh Air Mask in Singapore!

The Philips Fresh Air Mask is made with a special Air Power technology, which helps remove trapped heat, moisture, and carbon dioxide in a jiffy - thus giving you fresher air, and more breathability. Its speed modes are easily altered with the touch of a button, so you can make the necessary adjustments depending on the weather and the environment you’re in.

Don’t worry, despite its description, this isn’t as bulky as a hazmat mask. The fan module, placed at the side of the bottom of the mask, is compact and light - you’ll barely feel its weight there!

The flexible, water-resistant mask fabric is micro-porous, which allows for good ventilation while its replaceable filter reduces transmission of droplets, removes 95% of PM2.5 particles and pollen, and blocks out 99% of bacteria of 3μm - it’s basically N95-level. Made with both style and comfort in mind, it has a defined “Golden Anchor Point” that disperses pressure across your nose bridge, cheeks, and ears, so your face won’t feel tired wearing it.

On top of that, the mask has an innovative UV filtering function, which essentially gives it the protection of a UPF 50+ sunblock.

The Philips Fresh Air Mask is retailing in Singapore for $159 and is only available in Premium Black at the moment. We hear that it’s also available in grey and pink in other countries, so hopefully we’ll see more colourways in our local stores too! Get it via the Philips Singapore website here or through authorised retailers such as Best Denki and Amazon Singapore.
