Handsome Square Mask Worker In Squid Game Gets Fame & Tons Of Instagram Followers For His 10-Second Scene
While everyone was thirsting over Squid Game's main characters like Sae-byeok (Jung Ho-yeon) and Jun-ho (Wi Ha-joon), some had their hearts unexpectedly captured by a random side character in the series, a square masked worker played by actor Lee Jung-jun.

Dubbed the hot square mask guy, actor Lee Jung-jun's big scene in Squid Game was in Episode 3, The Man with the Umbrella, where one of the players rebells against the guards after his umbrella-shaped dalgona breaks.
He takes the square masked manager hostage and forces him to remove his mask while holding a gun to his head.
Tense violin music played as the masked worker slowly turned around. As the square masked workers are at the top of the hierarchy in that sadistic place, most viewers were probably anticipating the face of an old, hardened criminal with scars, tattoos, a bulbous nose or other features associated with a typical TV villain.
Instead, what emerged from that mask was a fresh-faced, idol-like oppa, albeit with an unflattering hairdo.

Lee Jung-jun's scene in Squid Game lasted about 10 seconds or so before he was finished off by the Front Man. Still, those 10 seconds were enough for the 22 year-old Korean actor to gain a bunch of fans simping over his good looks.

Before Squid Game, the rookie actor was relatively unknown as he had only debuted in 2019 and had only two small roles in his resume. But after the release of the hit Netflix series, Lee Jung-jun has amassed over 700,000 followers on Instagram, and his post likes have increased 10 times from an average of 30k to 300k.
